BUSN 3008 Entrepreneurship and SMEs Short Answer Assignment 3 With the fast developing of Chinese economy, more and more companies are doing international business as internationalization had become an unavoidable trend for Chinese firms. Since the end of the 1990s of last century, after going out of the shade of Asian financial crisis, Chinese economy has been stepped into a ten years gold development age. A lot of Chinese enterprise developed rapidly. The quantity of Chinese corporations which entered the Fortune 500 also increased fast. (Dougherty, 2005). However, entrepreneurship has become much more" mainstream" over the past decade, especially in china. Entrepreneurs influence formal economic institutions through direct involvement in politics, by using their entrepreneurial talent to use political power. In China, the government is often the entrepreneur. It is hard to find any reasonably sized Chinese company in which government authorities do not have input. Because politics is a nature part of the Chinese entrepreneurial process, most entrepreneurship has grown out of the political party's struggle for survival in china. In the other hand, entrepreneurs will be more competitive if entrepreneurs enjoy better political relations. As a consequence, a lot of entrepreneurial activity in China is in the exercise of getting things done more efficiently and creatively in response to constraints that people find themselves involved in. Some of these constraints are societal; some are political. The advantage is the nature and extent of openness to outside influence and foreigners. Foreign direct investment pours into China. Within those circumstances it came to rely on FDI, and help from the overseas Chinese was a big market of it. Next, as no innovations will remain innovative for a long time, entrepreneurs can only be entrepreneurial for a very short period. Again, as Schumpeter noted," No one is an entrepreneur forever, only when he or she is actually doing the innovative activity". Thus, entrepreneurs use innovation to exploit or create change and opportunities for the purpose of making profit. This clearly assumes that, once with providing higher rewards for entrepreneurship are, entrepreneurs will certainly be motivated to innovate because of the expected higher rewards. In the meanwhile, entrepreneurs who are motivated to innovate and also carrying the risk attitude. Risk attitude is vital for those China entrepreneurial firms, because innovation is a significant behaviour for it, and sometimes innovation behaviour will take risk for a firm. Always keep the risk attitude is a good character of International entrepreneurial firm. Consequently, the entrepreneurship is an organizational process that to pursue the opportunities to innovate and create the competitive advantages from foreign market associate with my Chinese culture. Following the information showed in "India and China are creating millions of entrepreneurs". It has shown how Chinese capitalism is being distorted by the influence of politics. Some 40% of entrepreneurs are members of the Communist Party. It is different how private entrepreneurs in China handle their relations with the general public. This is an important step of the entrepreneurial process in China because the relations make a big difference to firms' survival and performance. Like the Communist Party, ordinary people have held ambivalent attitudes towards private entrepreneurs. In a market economy conditions, the corporate relations is becoming an increasing reflection of the competitive advantage. We can say that relation competition is a future of market competition. To this level, the performance of the enterprise will concentrate on dealing with the public relations as the ultimate competitive result. Chinese entrepreneurs share many characteristics with entrepreneurs worldwide. However, there are some characteristics of management style that are unique to China. Chinese entrepreneurs work as long and hard as their counterparts in other countries. On the other hand, Luck and fate plays a role for entrepreneurs’ worldwide, Chinese people traditionally place greater belief in fate than many Westerners. Additionally, there are a number of characteristics that are more unique to entrepreneurs in China, such as interpersonal harmony and Guanxi are important factors for further reducing risk. In conclusion, when entrepreneurs are doing international activities, it needs the support from the government. Some important policy and market decisions need to be corporation with the government. Sometime it needs the government to negotiate with foreign governments. Meanwhile, Innovation is the basis for the growth of enterprise. It continually adjusts internal resources, the relationship between business owners and other employees to stimulate them to improve company competitiveness in the international market.
