Personal Goals In determining my personal career goals, I believe personal goals are essential to maintaining professional success. In addition to professional success I also want to maintain a healthy environment for my children to be successful in their careers. My goal is to be a role model for my children. I want them to see that it takes perseverance and diligence to maintain personal success in their lives. I am, more specifically, determined to attain a series of goals leading to the ultimate objective of owning my own school. Professionally speaking, I know where my main interest lies: in becoming a teacher and becoming a motivation for my children. Maintaining professional success is important in today’s work place. My ability to execute and bring skills to the workplace secures my job stability. I believe this has been my driving force in the last 5 years. Working for a major company has always been my dream. Making a difference within the company would be my ideal of professional success. Along with professional success it’s important to setting goals. I want to learn self-discipline. Self-discipline is one area I want to strive for here at University of Phoenix.

I believe in any work environment learning self-discipline is essential to your professional growth. Time management is another big key to my personal success. Learning to create a healthy environment starts with time management. This is one area that will present the biggest obstacle for me. I’m a person that waits till the last minute to do an assignment. This character trait will eventually be my downfall. So therefore while I’m here at University of Phoenix I plan to make it a priority and a personal goal. My goal is to learn the skills and take the initiative to succeed. With this achievement I see myself setting a foundation for my children to be self-discipline in their own lives and careers. It’s important to me that I excel in these areas not just for my self but with the thought of raising my kids too. My children will look to me to be their role model and motivator. I strongly believe your children will adapt to whatever environment you, as a parent will provide for their learning success. After I graduate I plan to accumulate experience by working with a management team. Such a position will allow me to manage a team and be responsible for all phases of project delivery and as well as revenue recognition. Five years later, I plan to envision myself as the Vice President of the entire Consumer Market Group.

Drawing from that vision and experience I plan to start my own business. Five years later I hope to have my own school. Like my other career goals, this achievement is ambitious, yet feasible. I have, over the course of my career, develop an adaptability and concentration that allow me to set goals and attain them one by one, always with a clear vision of what overall direction I plan to follow. My keen interest in teaching, combined with the broad experience I have under my belt by then, will allow me to launch and shape a school with teaching fundamentals to thrive on. My goal to have my own school comes from wanting to see today’s youth strive for excellence. I want to give them a hope and a future that starts in school. I truly believe the first 6 years of school will either make a child or break them. Does the child really see the true benefits of learning' I want them to have an opportunity that my grade schools never offer me. The ability to be all I can be. I want to give them a hope and a future. In attempting to determine what aspects of my personality or background might present the greatest obstacles to achieving my career goals, I think of no trait that my determination and dedication will not overcome. Far from flinching from challenges, I embrace every opportunity to solve new kinds of problem and thereby acquire new form of knowledge and skills. I have faced every difficulty I have encountered in my career through determination, perseverance, hard work, and confidence. I have no doubt that these are the qualities that will permit me to blaze my own trail into the future.
