Sept 11th The events occurring on September 11th, 2001, have forever altered the perception of American safety within our own country. Never again will we as American citizens be able to endure the typical exercises which engulfed our lives so carelessly before that fatal Tuesday. Americans have been left with an unconscious paranoia, feelings of having to not only watch our every move, but those actions of the thousands of others which surround and cross our paths everyday. This paper is a research study on the possibility of and preventive measures some type of ongoing bio- terrorist threat which may be targeted at our nation’s food and/ or water supply via virus, bacteria, or pathogen. Currently, there are at least 12 different federal agencies and 35 different laws governing food safety.
