College is where you could say you “make it or break it”. There are two main types of colleges and that is community college and away college. Even though both of these colleges teach you a lot, away college will give you a better advantage in the future. Going away to college is one of the most enriching experiences a person can have. Being away for college can foster independence, teach wise decision-making, and prepare for a future career. Being away in a different state, or maybe in the same state, you learn to be more independent. Compared to a community college where you do the same routine you always did, being on your own is very different. In an away school, you live on your own, make your own rules; everything you do is up to you, instead of home where in most cases it is up to the parents. Away at school you learn how to live with someone you don’t really know at all, and get to learn how to deal with a lot of different people. Away colleges are very diverse, you will learn a lot about other people and in different places in which they live. You learn how to mix in with other people, so when you make it in your work world you already know how to mix in with different people not just people from where you live, and what you are used too. Away colleges everything is up to you. You have to do everything on your own, get everything on your own. There is no one for you to run too, or ask people that you are used too, you learn to fend for yourself, and how to work with yourself. Learning independence is a good advantage for going away to school because your future will be so much brighter, learning how to do things by yourself; you will go far because you will never anyone for anything. Going away to school will teach to make you wiser choices. A main thing about making wiser choices is going to class because you have to not because your parents or anyone woke you up. In an away college you will get up on your own because you know you have to pass all your classes, and get all of your notes. Another wise choice you will have to make in a away college is whether to party or to study. In an away college there are a lot of parties you have to make the choice if you will go out and party and risk not study and failing a test that could be coming up. Or maybe going to a party, and not being able to wake up the next day for your 8:00 class. This is a good advantage because later on in your future when you have work, and maybe you want to go out your going to always remember when you was in college what happen or what you did and you will learn that maybe that party isn’t something that you have to attend that badly. Another wise choice you make in an away college is time management how to handle your time knowing how much time you will need for studying, doing homework, a project, and then time with your friends and hanging out going to that party. These are all good advantages because it teaches you how to handle yourself, how to be wiser, and how to pass a class. This is will make you feel so much better when you pass a class, and know you did it all by yourself because you knew your time management, and what to do it makes you feel you could do so much more especially in your future. An away college prepares you for the work world, in many different ways. One way is the academics. The academics that an away college has verses a community college is plenty. When you are away your professor and everyone is so close right on campus. If you’re having trouble at any time you can ask anyone for help even your peers who are most likely just steps away from you. These being so convenient, you are bound to pass your classes, being you have so much help surrounded by you. Living on your own also helps you in the work world because you’re learning to be by yourself, and when you work your most likely going to be by yourself making your own rules, so it’s good practice. Another reason why it prepares you for the work world is because it is like being in the work world, expect the work is school. In conclusion you could see why going away to school, it much better than being in a community college. The experience, and enriching opportunities you have with going away to school is so great, and everyone should have the chance to experience that. Living in a different state, or even a different country, to go to school is something very powering. Learning independence, learning to make wise choices, and being able to prepare yourself for the work world all while getting an education in a blessing. The advantages you have while going away to college is endless.
