As someone that has to pay bills each month, you already know the importance of energy conservation. There is no way for you to have not noticed that your bills have been increasing. But, energy conservation is not always something that is on our minds. If you find yourself only thinking about energy conservation when the bills for the month arrives it’s too late and you missed the boat. * Renewable versus nonrenewable * Nonrenewable fuels are called fossil fuels because they were made millions of years ago from the remains of animals and other organic matter that was under large amounts of heat and pressure. Fossil fuels are depleted at a rate that is 100,000 times faster than they are formed, therefore, fossil fuels may someday run out. Renewable energy sources are constantly replenished and will never run out. Renewable energy technologies are also much friendlier to the environment. * Government efforts * The Government has many policies in place for energy conservation such as, Alternative Fuels, Alternative Energy Strategies, and Green Buildings and the government officials are working hard to see the policies are enforced. Conclusion We have touch on if you don’t find away to conserve energy you will receive a very ugly a bills from the power companies whom we all know well. We have learned that the renewable energy are getting a little friendlier and it will never run out. Opportunities for energy conservation are increasingly available in almost every application in any setting. Home, school, office, and industrial environments have all benefited from cost-saving and energy-saving innovations. I'm sure with a little thought I can come up with quite a few more ideas to conserve energy without changing lifestyles significantly. I'm sure you can do the same. I think we owe it to our environment! I for one will be re-doubling my efforts on Energy Conservation. If I had to make up a slogan or a song I would “IF WE DON”T CONSERVE WE WILL PAY IN THE LONG RUN”
