Thinking Is a Double Edged Sword
Thinking is a blessing and a curse as well. There are many ways to analyze the different perspectives of thinking. Since we are human, obviously we have to think because it is our natural instinct. Yet many human beings think too critically and it can lead to corruption in one’s mind. Therefore, thinking is a double edged sword.
We, as human beings, have the natural instinct to think before we do something. Thinking allows humans to view the world in different ways, and deal with it according to their plans and desires. People make many mistakes in their lifetime so naturally it is important to stop and think to analyze what you may be doing wrong. Ralph Waldo Emerson believes, “Your own mind is a sacred enclosure into which nothing harmful can enter except by your permission.” Thinking is another way human beings find out who they truly are, even though many minds have already been corrupted.
Many humans think too critically which may lead to the corruption of one’s thoughts. Critical thinking is a reflective judgment about what to believe or what to do in response to the world. Often many people over analyze their thoughts which leads to corruption of the mind. Over analyzing one’s thoughts holds many people back from all aspects in life, such as happiness. When critically thinking, you narrow yours thoughts and ideals down to the point to where they are vapid and empty. When a human lets their ego or mind take over, they often let ideas in that they don’t believe in. This is return will lead to the corruption of a humans mind or thoughts.
Thinking is a way to analyze your own thoughts and ideas. All humans have different perspectives of what thinking is but my mind goes two ways. As humans, we need to think as a natural instinct to the world. On the other hand, thinking leads to over analysis, which in return may corrupt one’s mind. Thinking and the thought process is a double edged sword that may strike at different times.
