The_Pond

The Pond The first time I came to UMass i remember walking around and seeing a nice little pond in the middle of campus. I remember thinking that this was a nice little place and now that I'm attending UMass i walk by this pond everyday and each time i do it's an enjoyable experience. This pond has become a place at which I can find peace and get my mind off of other things. There are a lot of things about the pond that have drawn me to it. When I walk by for class I always enjoy walking over the bridge and seeing all the ducks swimming around. Eventually after walking by the pond I would stop there after class. I like watching these ducks. They seem to always be at peace just swimming around and quacking. It's like they don't have a single care in the world. I love sitting at the edge of the pond and getting my mind off of things. Every once in a while when I'm really stressed and need a break, I know that sitting by this pond will never fail to bring a sense of calm over myself. I think it is important for someone to have a place to go or something to think about when one is stressed out. For me all I need to do is sit by the pond and get away from the chaos that comes with each day. I don't know if this pond will be a place that I'll always be connected too but for now it is a place that is helping me deal with all the stress that has come in my freshmen ye
