The_Exposure

The Exposure That’s it I've decided to expose myself to the world, me and my thoughts. Of course I knock my head in the door to make sure I am awake. I am awake. I swing the door open, the light expects me and opens my way. The light is too bright, I haven't expect it to be so strong. I blow my chest, and then check if my thoughts hadn't betrayed me or somehow lost their way. Nope, everything is in its place. I am ready. The streets are crowded. I enter the market, people are shouting. Some are showing their deceiving red apples, some kids are running with bread in their hands, right after them came a pack of soldiers, raising their hands with threats. Blind people are sitting on the corners relying on others to give them money, for they cannot survive otherwise. Some priests are telling stories, listening to them are hypnotized staring eyes. Now I see it, the wood on which I will stand to declare my presence. Step by step I climb. Finally I reach my destination. Courage finds its way flowing to my heart and I start my speech. The speech which convinced my mind about the truth in this world, had affected the people in a most amazing way. Somehow I find all flavors of food being thrown at me, by kids, soldiers even priests and blind people (who are throwing to the wrong directions and which caused some fists to be lunched in the air as well as some broken noses). What was I thinking to myself' The light outside is too bright. Any other light will just be swallowed. Razi E. Zeidan
