Tex_the_Movie_Changes

Changes by Joyce Buena “Change is inevitable - except from a vending machine. ~Robert C. Gallagher” For me, changes will happen, whether you like it or not. On my essay I will talk about the changes of the main character of the movie “Tex” directed by Tom Hunt. I will also talk about how Tex’ friends and/ or other characters of the movie changes from the beginning to the end of the movie. My last point will be my own experiences of changes. Changes will happen, whether you like it or not. There are many things that changes in Tex life. Like Tex having a job. At first when he still don’t have responsibilities. He just enjoyed life as a game. But life changes when he got a job. He learned to take responsibilities. He is known as not taking thing seriously but he took this job seriously. Another change in his life is when his brother planned to go college. At first he didn’t accept the fact that his brother will be leaving him because they been together since they were young and now they will be separated because Mason—his brother—will be going college and it was far from their hometown. It’s a big change for his brother but he seems not to think about it. All he wanted is him and his brother to be together for the rest of their life. But at the end he realized that his brother cared for him and he only do it for him. His concepts in life changed. He even made the way to make his brother go to college. And the last changes that happen to Tex’ life is when he found out that Bill—the man whom he thought was his father—is not his true father. In the beginning he didn’t really accepted the fact. All he wants to do is run away. He hated the world. But at the end, he all realized what is going on. He also knew that it’s not his mother’s fault. He accepted everything that deals in his life. That’s the changes in Tex life, on the next paragraph I will talk about Tex friends and/ or other character’s changes. Tex friends had lot of changes too. Let’s start with his brother Mason. Mason changes a lot. In the beginning of the story, he hated his father for because he left them for months with no money. He and Tex lived without guidance but in the end he accepted his father when he promised not to leave them anymore. The next character that had changed was Jamie (Sister of his friend). In the beginning she is kind of snob and sort of being tomboy, maybe because she had two brothers that he always hang with. In the end of the movie, she changed when she found out that she was in love with Tex. He got involved in girls stuff like shopping before the end of the movie. And the last character that I noticed that had changes was Bill (Mason father). At the beginning I will say that Bill is an irresponsible father because he left his sons without any guidance but in the middle of the story he went back and promised not to leave them anymore. I say he became the most responsible father after all. At the movie Tex, there are lot of changes that took place with the characters I do had experienced changes a lot too. First was on my environment including the weather, food, places and people around me. I moved from the Philippines to Canada. As anyone knew, Philippines were a tropical country. I usually enjoyed every day’s sunshine. Moving to a cold snowy country made a lot of adjustments in my body. Wearing those big jackets made me uncomfortable. Next was on the foods. In my country we usually have rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In here we rarely have rice and it’s an adjustment for me too to adopt the foods I take here. Places, I will say I really got hard memorizing streets and routes. In my home town I can roam anytime by myself but here I need to be with my mom to go somewhere. And most of all, the most thing that changed in moving here in Canada was the people around me. In my school, I almost know everybody but here I just know few of them. In the Philippines, I can easy got along with new faces confidently but here I’m quite scared to approach people because of my language difficulty. But I can say I can exceed all this changes by time. Changes will really happen, whether you like it or not. On my essay I talked about the changes I had in my life. I also talked about the changes that happen in Tex friend’s life/ attitude. On my first paragraph I talked about Tex’ changes in his life.
