From a brief introduction to the role of a teacher my immediate thoughts are the role reminiscence relating directly to that of a Police person and certain other government social interactive persons where respect is essential.
No longer allowed to give personal opinions or judgment but only to implement rules and criteria laid down by the establishment. Sometimes though fearing legal reprisal.
This has created a whole layer of often faceless judgmental officials in society.
Without the ability to chastise, has the teacher lost some of the respect in the same way as with the police and other government officials and is endemic and is that where were we are in our modern progressive imposed society'
This I believe in my immediate eyes to be none progressive and endemic in our society, having traveled and experienced other world cultures.
I hope through this course to take the responsibility to educate myself as to a better and clear understanding of the established methods in a discrete, confidential and respectful manner, challenging my thoughts and any who might disrespect myself and others within the learning environment.
Perhaps my definition of 'Teacher' and 'Learner' will change as my own education as a learner progresses, this I am looking forward to.
As to any rules, regulations and legislation, why do we need them and have they gone too far for the wrong reasons'..when surely a lot are common sense and should be standard in our behavior as we learn our boundaries.
Children work for respect as like any other accolade, by giving un-earned respect can this teach a learner the wrong message' I do agree with the whole teaching ethos that gives the learners responisbilities of ownership through this they can earn respect from their fellow learners and teachers

The teacher training cycle - my role and responsibilities
Identifying needs
Learn the curriculum I am to teach
After careful consideration in respect to my abilities and desires to teach, I will decide on a course of action to inform and educate learners to my curriculum and skills to educate the afore said learners in the curriculum.
Through careful planning within regulations and including the learners .... implement a method and course to educate the afore said learners in a fashion that... encourages ...lo attain the something of the courses learning curriculum.
Expand after this amazing learning experience assess the learners and my own levels of both teaching and learning, though the on going assessment of the results
The evaluation based on the results would indicate areas of improvement to increase the learners education and my abilities to teach.
As with any functions once the function has been identified then it creates a form. To define the afore said function as a teacher, would be to educate learners, from the curriculum with in the legislation.
Once the demographic source of learners has been identified, an assessment of their abilities, knowledge, needs and desires would create a brief and indicate boundaries with which to plan and structure a course for the learners.
From this structure which defines the service on offer, promotion would be required to publisise to any potential learner the availability of the service.
Having attracted my source of learners, it would then be my responsibility to ascertain their suitability and limitations this could be mentally or physically, this information would be the key to the advise given indicating help available to allow the potential learners to participate and my suitability to teach.
Planning Learning
having ascertained my suitability to teach my learners the curriculum, I would plan an prepare how to best use the resources available.
Planning the learning would have to take into consideration each learners different abilities and therefor the potential risks so the environment I would create ensured individual safety, at the same time was inspiring, accessible and conducive for me to teach the learners, with the relevant resources and material at my disposal at the same time having a back up plan incase of any unforeseen issues.

Through appropriate and professional methods I would implement a policy to review, record and inform the learners of their progress in an appropriate and effective manner, after initially implementing established and recognised rules this would include amongst other procedures, prior self assessment, attendance records and if required along with general administrative requirements to ensure the safeguard and privacy of both myself and the learners.
The implementation of the programme would be in a clear, enthusiastic, engaging and authoritative manor dealing with any issues respectfully and firm. Using a variety of established and new methods and technologies motivate and energiser the learners with the resources available respecting the learners and the learning environment.

By keeping to pre agreed timelines, recorded assessments and judgments of the learners and their work would be implemented through preparation of valid, reliable, fair and ethical procedures and decisions also using realistic assessment materials and methods this could take the form of verbal written pictorial, one to one and in a collective environment.

Continual evaluation would be required to assure the quality and continued quality of my methods of teaching through meetings, feedback by the learners and others relating to the programme, making adjustments as and when needed of my methods and materials in a professional, subjective manner.
Through the evaluation process improvements and adjustment could be implemented to the pervious standard
