Then, ten years ago I was invited to become a partner in the practice of Drs. Marcus, Wolf, & Lemming. If I had not decided to do that, I probably would not have wrote Interpreting Your Genes, the book you are writing about. 4. The accommodations in Mexico City were fantastic. This week, I decided to go exploring, and am staying at a little hotel here in Ixtapa that is so delightful, I would feel badly if I did not share it. It is the Amigo Hotel, which sits quiet on a corner in the center of the city. To promote the Amigo as the better hotel in this part of Mexico, the owner is offering a special package. This month, if guests don't stay for fewer than two nights at $290 per night, they receive coupons good for half-price meals at excellent local restaurants. Since regular-priced rooms start at $290 per night, I think this is a real good bargain. The hotel is charming situated on beautiful grounds, and the restaurants on the owner's "special" list are excellent and serve perfect prepared Mexican cuisine. Of the two hotels I've stayed in, the Amigo is the most beautiful and economical. Its security is also handled very good, which is especially important when traveling alone. I hope you can steer people in the direction of the Amigo. They will find it enjoyable. Sincerely, Marilyn Estevan ------------------------------------------------- Grammar Level 3 Worksheet 12 Grammar Applications A. The following article appeared on a Career Tips blog. Correct the errors in grammar. Sentences may contain more than one error. Maintaining Working Relationships When you and another person work close together, you should try to understand that person as an individual. Wipe all labels about he or she out your mind, whether good or bad. Until you learn otherwise, assume that the person has the same basic needs as you have—and that they probably have similar goals as well. Evaluate each person on the basis of your day-to-day experiences with him. You may find that the individual's working style is different from you, and you may not think the person does things as good or efficient as you do. You may think that, between the two of you, you are the best worker. You may also find that the person, in nonwork situations, is quite different than you. In fact, no matter how long you work with that person, you might not become friends. However, if you treat each person as an individual and respectful as a coworker, you will probably be able to develop a good working relationship. In short, the company ask that you develop, at minimum, a productive working relationship with all other staff members. Worksheet 12 (continued) EMPLOYMENT TEST XYZ Corporation 1.
