Plan your trip well in advance as changes to reservations will be extremely difficult and expensive advance, during this period. Try to make appointments at locations that are in the opposite direction of a stadium/ fan park. Book flights during times when games are being played. Allow for a minimum of 2 hours to get to the airport in Cape Town and up to 3 hours for Johannesburg – depending on your proximity to the airport. Plan for delays due to road congestion. Parking at the airport will be virtually impossible and it is advisable to get someone to drop you off and collect you from the various airports.
