1. Identify the different reasons people communication
Communications are needed in order to share information with those that need to know. Lack of information can make our jobs harder, as we may lack understanding of an issue. It can be done in a variety of ways according to what needs to be shared and what is considered to be the most effective way.
People communicate for different reasons such as, feelings, instructions, information, to express needs, build relationships, share ideals and ask questions. People communicate to maintain relationships, to give and receive information, to share opinions, knowledge, feelings and emotions. They also communicate to be understood or understand as well as give encouragement and make people feel valued.
2. Explain how communicate affects relationships in work setting
communication in the work setting is a two way process, communication is a key tool to have because you need to communicate with a wide range of people and it's a relationships- building skill. A relationship is built on trust and trust is very important because you will know some personal life moments with parents and children, and ensures that you receive all relevant information. If people do not communicate they will not know their limits or be able to reach their ability or connect with adults or children. Communication is either verbal, telephone, written notes, ect. Communication is very important to create a safe, secure and caring place for children, parents, visitors and staff. Communication helps us to plan and meet the needs of any child in our care. Lack of information can seriously affect the development and support we can offer to the child. Communication is there to build and maintain good relationships between parents, children and staff members.
