I personally believe in the accuracy of sensory, it’s the mind playing tricks on that individual that has them skeptical of what is real and what isn’t, what is physically there and what isn’t. The accuracy of sensory is believed when an individual touches a chair and can prove it with their eyes that, that is in fact a chair, or an individual smells fried chicken and can prove it by their taste, or an individual hears a bird chirping and can prove it with their eyes. All these accuracies of sensory can be proven by one of the 5 senses. According to Kirby & Goodpaster, (2007) “our senses act as our lenses, amplifiers, particle detectors, and pressure and heat gauges. These sensors are acutely sensitive”.
Some factors contributing to the accuracy of sensory data would be observations; this allows us to see the world as it was intended. Our eyes are the windows to the mind because if we can’t see it or something similar to it how can we think of it in our minds. The concept of what we see couldn’t possibly be explained without first observing it. Perception is sensory data because it’s the understanding of what an individual knows to be true. Even if something seems to be falsified the perception that an individual has allows them to look beyond that and see it for what it really is.
Another sensory data would be reception because if the individual can see, touch, smell, taste and hear something, signals are then sent to the brain. This lets the brain know that it has understood that the individual has seen something pretty, touched something soft, smelt something good, tasted something spicy and heard something loud. The brain receives this information and interprets it as your body knows it.
“Nature, referring to heredity, and the nurture, referring to the environment, is two very reasonable explanations to why we are the people we are today” (Guirguis, 2004). The article goes on to state that “nature is interpreted by our personalities, looks, and other things because it's all genetically passed down. Any matter concerning traits relies upon the concept of inborn biology”. I believe that nature is designed from birth with regards to what type of person your parents would love to see you turn out to be. The interpretation and evaluation is based on how well your parents trained and taught you as a child. When you become an adult, does what your parents said to you as a child still effect your decisions in everyday life or have you taken on a path of your own.
I believe that nurture is designed from your surroundings with regards to other people in your life influencing your decisions. The interpretation and evaluation is based on how you perceive life. Will you see life through your eyes or someone else’s' Nurture is the path you decided to take instead of following what your parents instilled into you. This plan of action is not necessarily wrong; you just have to make sure you’re following your own dreams and no one else’s dreams.
