Assessment: A Twenty-First-Century Manager
PMF Score: _7.5____
Interpretation: This self-assessment confirms the fact that I have management skills. I'm also a hard worker. Whatever the circumstances, I
have to reach my goals. I am not influenced by the gender and race of my colleagues. I have a genuine collaboration with them. I like to take
personal initiatives when I think it’s justified. However, I adhere to rational and realistic changes. I am flexible.
I have the honesty to recognize my strengths and weaknesses when comes to skills required for a job. I don’t accept a job if I can’t manage
it. I'm ambitious; I love challenges because they reveal my strength and leadership.
I am somebody who also learns from experience and experiences of others.
Assessment: “TT” Leadership Style Assessment
|“Transformational” Leader Score: _33____ |“Transactional” Leader Score: _17____ |
Interpretation:
My leadership style is based on vision, long term goals and employees satisfaction. A leader should be able to draw his member’s attention and
focus of his goals and expectations while highlighting the points that will positively influence their future. As a leader, you must be
constantly innovative, bring a positive change in your organization. Constantly improve the goals of the organization and especially create a
suitable environment for its members. People will work with you when you inspire trust in them. A leader should not only be accountable for
the wealth of the organization, but also a creator of wealth for employees of the organization. An organization can’t thrive if it does not
value its employees. A leader must respect the ethics of the company, and be of great morale and always lead by example.
The leader must be realistic, be able to manage conflict. Sometimes people serve leaders not because of their excellent ideas but because they
have no choice. To avoid such situation’s a leader must listen to others, and have great analytical skills.
Assessment: Intuitive Ability
Intuitive Score: __8___
Interpretation:
The intuition is a very important character for a leader given the complexity of its task. I think in an organization, the leader should not
be confined to a single methodology. He should focus on the objectives and define favorable methods to achieve his objectives, without
violating the Ethics of the organization.
A leader must not be irrational. He must always try to exercise logical thinking and must not let his emotions override his reasoning. He must
take the time to analyze every situation. In my view, each problem in an organization is a challenge and should be considered as such. I
approach problems/conflict with a lot of serenity and efficiency.
Assessment: Conflict Management Strategies
|Yielding tendency: __8___ |Compromising tendency: _13___ |
|Forcing tendency: __7___ |Problem-solving tendency: _10___ |
|Avoiding tendency: _6____ | |
Interpretation:
My strategy of conflict management is based on finding a compromise between the two parties. The leader of an organization manages the daily
operations of the company including the staff. This means that it has both two major poles which depend from each other. The output of a
crisis, there should be no winner or loser, but an even stronger structure. Strong by institutions, strong by his workers. A leader should not
avoid confronting conflicts he must prepare to deal with them. However, it must not use his position and statute imposes his ideas because it
will create a resistance and bogged down the problem. The same. The leader should not enter the claims that are not justified. The leader
represents the employer within the organization. As such, it defends its interest. However, to ensure the interest of the organization, he
must listen to the employed and should be able to find a compromise between the two parties in conflict situations.
Assessment: Time Management Profile
Score: _10____
Interpretation:
Time management is a very important aspect for a leader. To be efficient and productive, a leader has to prioritize in other to manage time
wisely. I’m very organized; I give priority to activities that require high concentration first. Then I perform other duties at a more
relaxing time. I also delegate effectively other duties to employees with clear and precise instructions and expectations.
I love numbers and things well done. I love to make a connection between the time taken, the quantity and the quality of the work.
Assessment: Organizational Design Preference
Score: _59____
Interpretation:
In terms of Organizational design, my preference is the mechanic type. I am convinced that organization goals belong to the top management.
They should write the job description of each function, and well specify the profile required for this function. When you have a vision, no
one else can implement it better than you. These responsibilities require from the top management, an efficient management of the company A
communication platform should be settled between employees and leader. I prefer an organization or roles are clearly specified, or the
employee has a very precise idea of his career plan, organization or are investing in staff training I believe in an organization or authority
is structured.
Assessment: Which Culture Fits You'
Score: _4____
Interpretation:
A strong organization is built on long-term goals. This requires professional training, career well-developed, open communication between top
management and employees. A well-trained and dedicated employee is an important and profitable investment for the organization. I support an
organization where employees are the center of managerial concerns.
