One issue that I can sort of understand is the overdevelopment. Many real estate developers are destroying the land around and possibly affecting the water too. I live near a beach that is slowly growing into a small community and its not as much fun down there anymore. Salt marshes and mangrove swamps are examples of coastal habitats being damaged. I see men building buildings and have not a care for the negative impact it will have on our water resources. We as humans and as creatures of the earth have an obligation to take care of what is limited, especially our resources. It is apparent today that the more we build and over populate, we will be destroying natural resources and create long term problems. Just imagining the material and debris being set forth around the real estate that is being developed is kind of disturbing. These real estate developments near coastal lines and anywhere there is a large water resource will no longer be usable to its full extent and can cause health risks for those who consume it. The best way to solve this problem is to stop this development around the areas of water. We need to protect them and preserve them while we can, that way we will have the longer and for our future generations.
