Research Strategy Paper For 21 years now, I have always lived my life on a day-to-day basis, never actually taking the time to plan out my activities. Because of this, going with the flow, so to speak, has been my motto. I still get tasks done, so my procrastination is not cause be lack of confidence. I am usually given several tasks at once, and it takes me a longer time than average to have a handle on what is most important, which causes me to lose the sequence of events in my mind. Time management is something that is not easily learned. I would say, ‘Planning to learn time management would actually require time management to do’, which would somehow validate my reasoning for not fully committing myself to lessening this way of thinking. I know now that having the ability to prioritize events in my life will not only facilitate my graduation from school, but also enhance my work performance. Six months ago, I was promoted to general manager at my job. It seems that the more I learn about this career, the more I realize that there has to be little secrets to help prioritize tasks. One step to uncovering these secrets to proper time management skills is to find someone who already has. It would be ideal to find successful individuals that reduce their stress by organization. I would like to interview people whom I feel juggle several responsibilities at once in order to find a common denominator among them. I could start at a college to find a teacher to interview, or a principal who can fit me in their schedule. A library is a great place to read books by experts in time managing and setting time tabled goals. I have become wary with day-to-day living. The time has come for there to be order and focus on things in the correct order. Writing this paper proves that I have completed the first step, which is the comprehension of knowing that there is a problem, and displaying the willingness to solve it. As soon as I started taking GEN/200, I started to read about time management, but I didn’t know the correct way to look for research or what to look for. Now I am convinced that this problem will soon be a thing of the past. Learning has become my first priority in school. My second is graduating. If my attitude stays this way for the duration of my schooling here, I will leave my college with not only a degree, but with several skills that I can carry with me for the rest of my life.
