Ms. Rendon’s Teaching Philosophy
I believe that the responsibility of the teacher is to provide the student the knowledge they need to succeed in the classroom. As a teacher I will encourage my students to go forward with their goals. I will not give up on my students and expect them not to give up on themselves.

Health and Safety Regulations
I would appreciate if you would not send your children to school when they are sick as they might get other students sick. Please make sure they are up to date with their vaccines. If a student appears to be sick he/she would be sent to the school nurse and the nurse will determine if the student should be sent home and if they need to be seen by a doctor.
We do practice safety in the school and classroom and I will expect students to follow all procedures as they may come up. If we do activities I do expect the students to clean up after themselves failure to do so will result in not being able to participate in another activity.
Lunch Program
We expect our students to eat a well balanced meal. We provide breakfast and lunch for the students. If they qualify for the free lunch program they will not have to pay for breakfast or lunch.
If they do not qualify for free breakfast or lunch the prices are as follow:
Full breakfast: 1.35 Full lunch: 2.25
Reduced breakfast: .40 Reduced breakfast: .35
Adult breakfast: 1.50 Adult lunch: 3.00

Children Celebrations
If your son/daughter’s birthday will be coming up and you would like to have a small celebration for them a certain in the classroom let me know so we can arrange to do something and so I can include it in my schedule for a certain day. In the previous year’s students get excited to be celebrating their birthday with all their classmates and if you feel your child would like it let me know.
Teaching Strategies
I have my own style of teaching and I would like to tell you how I approach the students in learning.
All students learn at different paces so I will observe how the student learns. I will conduct lectures, power-point presentations, and having students read out loud and discuss what is being taught.
Parent Volunteers
I know many parents like forming groups of other parents to know and be involved in their children’s education. If any of you would like to volunteer please see me in the mornings before class starts or in the afternoon after class ends. If you cannot discuss at that time please make an appointment to meet with me.
