Pakistan's_Ideal_Concept

2013-11-13 来源: 类别: 更多范文

Pakistans Ideal Concept There were various organizations both within the country as well as abroad, which were awarding the companies and the manufacturers, so called International or Quality awards. The modus operandi of these organizations was quite confusing and controversial. Unfortunately there was no source in Pakistan to recognize and examine the status of consumer’s choice the quality of goods and services offered or the awards being given to them. Pakistanis’ Ideal is unique because Pakistanis’ Ideal will be determined by the public through their valued votes and by a panel of judges consisting of dignitaries and experts. It covers a broad range of categories of interest to both the public and business communities. Its purpose is to publicly identify those Talents, Services, products and organizations that have been voted by consumers as the best according to their choice. Pakistans’ Ideal will be a most prestigious tribute to businesses, services, talents that serve their Nation well. The program is encouraged by all levels of General public, government and by business leaders to ensure their services in accordance with the standard norms and quality. Pakistans’ Ideal is established to identify and promote business, services and talents excellence. To encourage the Individual, organizations and manufacturers, is organizing “Pakistans’ Ideal” recognition Award ceremony based on the opinions of the public in general, experts and dignitaries from all walks of life. This step will help the companies to improve the quality and standards of their goods and services and boost their image in the market. Realizing this extremely acute deficiency Pakistans’ Ideal has retained the services of a leading independent firm Excellence International to conduct surveys in major Pakistani cities. Pakistans’ Ideal will establish the credibility of the organizations, Individuals, manufacturers, and Services as well as the standard of consumer goods and Talent & services. Pakistans’ Ideal will be acknowledged in an impressive ceremony. Special Nationwide Television and print media coverage will be given. All manufacturers, Individuals, services & services providers will also be awarded in this ceremony, which will encourage them to enhance their quality products, talents & services. Pakistans’ Ideal will also acknowledge individuals who have made outstanding contributions towards the well being of the country. I am taking on the challenge of writing this piece with great trepidition, but utmost sincerity, and would like to state upfront that I truely believe that all of us, Pakistanis, including myself, owe a mountain of debt and gratitude to Qauid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah for giving us our freedoms in this country we call our homeland. Having said that, though, I would also beg to venture a bit further to say that while it was our solemn duty to establish the Pakistan of Quaid’s dreams in 1947–for that was the Pakistan for which hundreds of millions rallied behind him and over a million of us died, it is perhaps time now to dispassionately re-evalute that aspiration and take a more realistic view of our circumstances. In the intervening 60 years, the reality of Pakistan’s politics and society has turned out to be everything but Quaid’s dream. We, as a nation and as people, have wandered around aimlessly looking for an identity and a raison detre for our existence and our quest to find our destiny has often been hijacked by unscruplous politicians, religious leaders, and miltiary dictators luring us with their own versions of Quaid’s dream. All political leaders–from the extreme right to the extreme left, from the theocrats to the democrats, from Islamists to the secularists–claim to be the custodians of Quaid’s Pakistan. While nobody really knows what Quaid’s vision for Pakistan actually was for he said many things, on many occasions, and for many different audiences and it is easy to distort what he said to support one’s own version, we know one thing for sure. Quaid’s vision could not be all of what it is claimed to be at the same time. The struggle to interpret and re-interpret what Quaid may have said continues to this day… This year, the 60th Independence day of Pakistan as well, it has been fashionable to refer back to the Quaid’s vision, the Quaid’s dream, or the Quaid’s Pakistan. But is it time that we lay the Quaid’s vision of 1940s–whatever it may have been–aside for a minute and take a more realistic view of it' Shouldn’t we take off the glasses that our forefathers should have worn sixty years ago, but didn’t, and look at the reality of Pakistan as it stands today' In foreign policy, for instance, there are two main schools of thought–the idealists who see the world through an ideal, often moral, prism and the realists for whom the realpolitik determines the course of one’s decisions. I believe that when in comes to Pakistan, we have been too much of an idealist but not enough of the activists. We also, to this day, fail to look at Pakistan from a realistic standpoint. Is it feasible today, for instance, to develop an ideal theocracy or an ideal secular democracy in Pakistan without really rupturing the social fabric of the country and alienting and disenfranschising a vast majority of its population' Far too often in the past, we have let the best become the enemy of the good with the result that in our desire to create the ideal Pakistan–Quaid’s Pakistan–we have ended up losing an opportunity to create a “good enough” Pakistan–a Pakistan that works for most of us. I don’t claim to know what Quaid’s vision of Pakistan really was. I read his statements being used by the proponents of both Islamic and a Secular states. But I do know this. I know that above everything else, Quaid would have wanted us, all Pakistanis, to live in peace, harmony, and prosperity and would have been happy if we could decide for ourselves, today, how we want to live our lives. Does it really matter what Pakistan was supposed to be 60 years ago' That Pakistan never materialized in the first place. But it does certainly matter what we can make of it today, and it is our greatest duty to make the best of what we have. Learning about Pakistan’s history and what Quaid thought and did, and why he did it, is an important input into the process but the ultimate choice of what Pakistan needs to be rests with all of us, the people of Pakistan. The problem with those who argue in the favor of both extremes–a Theocratic Islamic State or a Modern Secular Democracy–is that each of these groups has its own hidden agenda and neither of them is willing give the people of Pakistan the true choice and control of their own destiny. In an online poll carried out through the Understanding Pakistan Project, we found a virtual tie between those who want to establish an Islamic Democracy (46%) and those who would like to see a Modern Secular Democracy (44%) in Pakistan. While neither of these groups are even in a simple numerical majority, it is safe to say, however, that the people of Pakistan (as represented by those who responded to this poll) choose democracy over any other form of government by an overwhelming majority. They also probably want it to be moderated and enshrined with the values of Islam–perhaps a brand of democracy unique to the Pakistani people' Whether Islamic Democracy is an oxymoron or whether, as argued by many notable Muslim scholars, democracy is an inherently Islamic concept is a debate beyond the scope of this post but the writing is clear on the wall! What this system of governance would look like and what role would Islam play in Pakistan’s democracy is a decision best taken by the people of Pakistan in an open, comprehensive, and transparent manner. This is also perhaps the most important conversation that we Pakistanis need to have today. Ultimately, Pakistan should be what its people want it to be and would be most comfortable living with, and not what an opportunististic religious or political leader would like us to believe what it must be. I have complete faith in the wisdom of the Pakistani people, for no matter how uneducated they may be, they know what is best for them and are willing to vote for it in an open and fair contest. Let the poor people of Pakistan, for once in their lives, decide their own fates and not impose it upon them. All power to the people, not only in letter (like Pakistan Peoples Party) but also in spirit. I am sure Quaid would definitely wanted that to happen. May this 58th anniversary of Quaid’s death bring us nearer to that goal… Pakistan Zindabad ! QUAID E AZAM MUHAMMAD ALI JINNAH was a enigma , a GOD SENT leader for muslims who are facing two big enemies the majority of hindus and BRITISH connivance. He was a lawyer and pleaded the case of PAKISTAN exactly as an lawyer prepares for any case in court . He was much superior than GANDHI , NEHRU and PATEL as he understood thier game even having very secular leanings and played PAKISTAN as CARD , It was OVERWHELMING MAJORITY LEADERS who accepted the partition then only PAKISTAN came into being , He was otherwise fighting for CONSTITUTIONAL rights for minorities thats MUSLIM from whom the RULE was snatched by BRITISHERS . Students of HISTORY will tell you IN june QUAID ACCEPTED THE JUNE PLAN giving rights to MUSLIM MAJORITY PROVINCES GIVING UP PAKISTAN it was nEHRU WHO rejected the plan if he has accepted there would not be PAKISTAN .He was GREAT LEADER and knew the narrow mentality of SMALL BRAIN indian leadership .HENCE HE ACCEPTED PARTITION . WATCH MOVIE “GANDHI in one FRAME GANDHI offered JINNAH THE PRIMEMINISTERSHIP OF JOINT INDIA he OFFERD HIS hand TO NEHRU ACCEPTING IT , but NEHRU PROTESTED . QUAID THEN FULLY EXPOSED THE anti MUSLIM feelings OF NEHRU and said ok THEN PAKISTAN !! Despite various challenges, our nation is fortunate enough to maintain Pakistan’s presence on the world map. Actually, all sincere and patriotic Pakistanis are genuinely concerned as the country has been passing through the most critical period in its history subsequent to the fall of its eastern wing in 1971. Pakistan faces numerous chaotic scenarios which are beyond repair for a long time to come, yet there still exits a glimmer of hope because of patriotism observed in the general public. More than half of the past 63 years have been wasted to the detriment of the country because of the military coups, while the remainder portion was exploited by the successive democratic but incompetent regimes. Almost all puppet regimes were controlled by the civilian or military dictators. Such regimes and their rubber stamp parliaments proved good for nothing but poor governance, missing sovereignty, inefficiency and misappropriation of funds and authority. There has been a lot of interference with the judiciary to have validation stickers. The untreated administrative paralysis remains an account of the official incompetence, and there is no sign of subsiding in the near future, while the rampant corruption is still sky rocketing. Ongoing hidden hands have been adding further to the misery of our country which is rich in mineral and natural resources along with the talented brainers, yet an ailing system with poorly handled economy is the result of incompetent and dishonest politicians who are full of fakeness. The curse of shameful mishandling of national crises is highly thought provoking. Enough is enough, now is the time to wake up and save the failing State of Pakistan from further deterioration before it is too late. The patriotic people should get ready to offer sacrifice in whatever manner possible to steer the country away from the danger-zone. On the other hand, Pakistan’s tarnished image abroad certainly is in need of a facelift, sooner the better. With united and well coordinated endeavor, our country still stands a chance; can also become a role model. With that said, I have an idea about my beloved country which I want to share with my fellow Pakistanis. I am launching a project named “Ideal Pakistan.” I invite all Pakistanis including intellectuals, civil society, and scholars to convey their feelings on the critical situation along with the viable solutions for the benefit of present and future generations. Write your essays on 12 given titles relating to the present situation in Pakistan and about Kashmir’s Freedom movement. Upon receiving essays on these topics, selected write-ups will be compiled in the form of a book. Writer’s full details will also be added in this book. I wish that these essays should be very comprehensive. Not only should these thoughts help bring Pakistan out of the messy situation but also should act as a guideline specifically for our present and future generations. Unfortunately, we desperately need competent, honest and sincere leadership. Upon publishing the book containing the selected write-ups, it will serve as a guideline for our government and for each Pakistani national. I am positive that this book is likely to play a “think tank role” possibly necessitating the creation of another institute as a stepping stone in the right direction, of course, in the best national interest. *The writers are at liberty to express their thoughts in Urdu or English as long as they adhere to the set criterion. *The writers may include laborers, lawyers, doctors, engineers, scientists, economists, psychologist, journalists etc. *Their written work will be made part of the book based on its acceptance on a strict merit by a panel of judges. *It is allowed to write on more than one selected subjects from the given list. Details of these 12 subjects can be seen on our website. *The prizes of one million rupees consisting of cash, umrah tickets, awards and appreciation certificates will be distributed. *Cash prizes will be given upon decision of judges’ panels.Umrah tickets will be given through Balloting. After compiling these write-ups in the form of a book, we will request our Mohsen-e-Pakistan to provide the title of this book. One million rupees prizes from our own personal resources. No fund will be collected from anyone. The Inauguration and initial work on this project has already begun along with media’s coverage from Toronto, Canada, Kotli Azad Kashmir and Center of Pakistani journalism, Lahore Press Club. It is expected, Pakistani media and all other people of our civil society will take part in this project by sending their thoughts/essays for the guidance of our nation. Media is specially requested to play a major role to awaken our national intellectuals to come forward and play their role for the excellent project. I hope your cooperation and guidance will be always available for the sake of this noble project.
