Obituary
Jordan James Whitlow was born on May 29, 1933 in Dermott, Arkansas, the fourth of ten children born to Lucious and Mildred Whitlow. His family nickname is Bubbles, given to him by his mother when he was a baby.
Jordan received his elementary education in his hometown of Dermott, Arkansas and graduated from Lincoln High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was an excellent mathematician and one of the top historians in his graduating class.
Jordan was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of his life, Mrs. Marie Hudnell on April 12, 1977, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They were happily married for thirty-three years.
In his professional life, Jordan worked at American Can Company as a production mechanic for thirty-three years. He was known as a successful man and a hard worker, but also knew how to have a good time as he would often make people laugh without even trying. In his earlier years he loved to roller skate at the famous Riverview skating rink, was an avid hunter with the boys of the Cosey family and he enjoyed the good, homemade food that was readily provided by his family and friends. He loved traveling with his family and especially landscaping his yard. His delicious vegetable garden stood out (fresh and nutritious) and he was meticulously organized. If anybody could give advice it was Jordan. He was always trying to help others.
Jordan was preceded in death by his parents, Lucious (Monk) and Mildred and two brothers, Luscious and Walter.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife: Marie; two sons: Teon and Jordan Jr.; two daughters: Lashan and Toni; three brothers: John (Emma), Leroy (Bobbie Jo), Clayton (Sara); and four sisters: Susie King, Helen Williams, Betty (James) Hutchinson and Shirley Evers. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends, namely a special friend, Mrs. Verline Ashley.
