Every body has a role model in their life and why not'' WE should definitely follow our role model in every field.Respected sirs,Good morning!!I am going to give a presentation on the topic My role model…The term role model generally means any "person who serves as an example, whose behaviour is emulated by others".Role model which I have in my life is William Henry "Bill" Gates III (born October 28, 1955).He is an American business magnate, philanthropist(donating large amounts of money to various charitable organizations and scientific research programs through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), and chairman of Microsoft, the software company which he founded with Paul Allen.He also become the Director of Berkshire Hathaway and CEO of Cascade Investment He is consistently ranked among the world's wealthiest people and was the wealthiest overall from 1995 to 2009, excluding 2008, when he was ranked third as in that year his competitor Warren Buffet was ranked first.During his career he remained the largest individual shareholder with more than 8 percent of the common stock. He is admired by many,as a number of industry insiders criticize his business tactics, which they consider anti-competitive.Bill Gates stepped down as chief executive officer of Microsoft in January 2000. He remained as chairman and created the position of chief software architect. In June 2006, Gates announced that he would be transitioning from full-time work at Microsoft to part-time work and full-time work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He gradually transferred his duties to Ray Ozzie, chief software architect and Craig Mundie, chief research and strategy officer.He remains at Microsoft as non-executive chairman. As an executive, Gates met regularly with Microsoft's senior managers and program managers. Gates role at Microsoft for most of its history was primarily a management and executive role. Gates appeared in a series of ads to promote Microsoft in 2008.(Question-What is his rank in the present year''Ans:-second) Investments He has made investments in various companies like:- • Cascade Investments LLC, a private investment and holding company, incorporated in United States, is controlled by Bill Gates, and is headquartered in the city of Kirkland, WA. • bgC3, a new think-tank company founded by Bill Gates. • Corbis, a digital image licensing and rights services company. • TerraPower, a nuclear reactor design company.. My role model for a long time has been Bill Gates, because he's so rich and a ruthless competitor, yet he has an ok family life.  Compared to someone like Bill Gates, hollywood actors are poor small boys/girls, yet they can't hold on to their relationships.  Yet this rich, extremely aggressive businessman is able to hold on to his own family'  Now that's something I admire.   How rich, you say'  Rich enough to singlehandedly pay Nigeria's debts. Now let me explain why I believe in being rich.  Bill gates started out as a business-teen.  Other programmers were coding for love, he started out coding for money.  At 19 or so he wrote a popular essay that programmers should stop copying each others' programs without paying for it; that programs should not be free!  He didn't start out by giving money away or pursuing social causes; as a true capitalist he started out with an aggressive plan to make lots of money.  Yet, now that he is rich, he is able to fund the largest charity organization in the world - the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Now that is a model I'd love to copy: make lots of money, and then when you're tired of making money, start giving it away in a way that makes a real difference in the world.  A tangible, noticeable difference.  That's why I love Bill Gates - he shows that you can pursue money when you are young and then when you're older the money can be diverted to good causes.  What he is able to do with his money is much more than what you can do by begging others to give away money! In many ways, Gates represents the "best of us" -- it's not just what he's doing but how he thinks about what he's doing. He's a curious geek. He wants to find interesting problems to solve. He believes that smart, self-motivated people working together can make a difference. Bill Gates reflects the best qualities of a generation that has grown up finding the innovative ways to apply science and technology to impact our everyday life in mostly positive ways. The truth is that while he was busy developing software, he's also worked on developing himself. He is the self-made American who has matured into a role model and leader. He is thoughtful and tactful where a younger version would have been brash and impetuous. Like Windows, improvement for Gates has required multiple iterations but the insistence on getting it right won out eventually. The newest release of Bill Gates is the best yet.
