My Past to a New Future Due to circumstances my life today is much better then it was seven years ago. A lot can change in seven years, and in my life things have definitely changed for the better. Three areas of my life that have changed over the past seven years are my children, my job, and my neighborhood. First of all, seven years ago I had five kids. My kids are the most important people in my life. Every thing I do is for them. My daughter is the only girl, and she is very high maintenance. My sons are very different from her. They know money doesn’t grow on trees. Second of all I was working for American Axle seven years ago. My job was to snap the carpet inside the trunk of the vehicles. I got paid good money for the job I was doing, but sometimes it wasn’t worth it. I use too break a nail almost every day. After all that hard work I did I still lost my job. We also lived on the west side of Detroit during that time in a bad neighborhood. There were dogs running loose, shootings and fighting. My kids couldn’t even go outside to play without me being out there with them. It was a fight almost every day. If you were sitting on your porch you would see some action coming from your left to your right. My life today has changed for the better. Now I have six kids one more then I had seven years ago. My daughter has changed a lot in the past years. She is no longer high maintenance. She realized that we do not have like we use too. Now its my 12year old son. He feels that he can get a pair of Jordan’s every month, and get mad if he can’t get any. Now I am in College, because there aren’t any jobs. I am taking up Early Childhood Education. I want to teach kindergartner’s, because I enjoy being around kids. People always’ calling me a soccer mom. Finally we moved to a better neighborhood. There are no dogs running loose, and no shooting or fighting where we live. The kids can be outside without me being out there with them. The people are very friendly in our neighborhood. In conclusion my life today is better than it was seven years ago, because of my children, my job, and my neighborhood. We are very happy with the decision we have made.
