Inflammation is a result of trauma and/ or injury to ones physical body; such as a sprained ankle and even bruises from a physical altercation. Inflammatory response on the other hand is a result of physical irritation in ones tissue. Physical irritation of one’s tissue can be a result of a bee sting, ingrown teeth and or toenail, a piece of glass ad even allergic reactions. Included with causing inflammatory responses there is bacteria, viruses, fungi, and even parasites; mostly called Pathogenic Organisms. Along with inflammation also come signs and symptoms, which consist of redness, swelling, heat and pain.
Aids is one of the most deadly diseases to affect today’s society, While ones suffering with AIDS the immune system, is destroyed, making them more prone to catching infection. Sad to say the Disease is said to be inquired by men having multiple sex partners, which were also men, Included with the sharing of Hypodermic needles. A virulent disease is definition of how deadly and serious the AIDs/ HIV virus is. Also said by the Joint United Nations Program on HIV AIDs at the ending of 2007 an estimated 30.8 million adults and 2.5 million children worldwide were living with HIV/AIDs; 2.5 million people worldwide became infected with HIV, and 2.1 million people died of AIDs related death. More devastating information include that Heterosexual transmission is held accountable for two – thirds of new infections; with that being said mother to infant transmission as well as IV drug use all hold accounts for exactly 10% of HIV infections.
Transmission of HIV consist of not protecting yourself during sexual activity; such as oral sex and physical sexual activity, including the exchange of bodily fluids like; blood, semen, vaginal secretions, and breast milk. As a result the Transmission of HIV is by having unprotected anal, oral, or vaginal intercourse; by child birth and through breast milk. The virus when in one’s body infects primarily helper or DD4T Lymphocytes. HIV, also replicates within the white blood cells being kilt usually activate B – cell Lymphocytes; as well as the body’s immune systems being crippled and the body is now more prone to infections as well as tumors, at which normal a normal body could easily control. Therefore, when infected with the virus, ones immune system will not fight off infections as a normal body would, causing it easier access for more Disease, Infection, as well as Cancer.
Environmental Factors that that make one more vulnerable to AIDs are street drugs such as ecstasy, crack cocaine as well as many others. Alcohol, also makes one more vulnerable to the AIDs/ HIV Virus, due to its affectedness to one’s mind causing them t be more prone to inquiring in unprotected sex. Another environmental factor is peer pressure. Some people are pressured to have unprotected sex, by the expressing of one’s love and or so called loyalty in a intimate relationship. All leading up to deadly consequences, with that being said there are alternative treatment options when suffering with HIV, such as drug therapy. Drug Therapy increases the chances of the immune system not being destroyed by HIV. While there is no cure for AIDs, there are drugs to help the body function properly If any of the medications and or therapy stops, you may began to have a relapse, resulting in very serious medical consequences. Anti – HIV medication makes it impossible for ones to test positive for the disease but still yet it is very contractible. The recommended treatment for HIV is called (HAART). The drugs which consist of (HAART) are highly expensive as well as having side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, and even a decrease and or increase in weight gain.
Methods used in controlling the spread of HIV are the use of condoms as well as a monogamous relationship and or practicing abstinence. Even though one may use condoms to protect their selves from the HIV virus, depending on the intimacy one may still be at risk for catching the virus due to the amount of bodily fluids being exchanged over the process of the protected sex. There are not many options to control the spread of the disease except for the ones listed, by myself. If the ways for one to protect their self from the disease are not followed ones are now putting their selves at risk for HIV. Also once has exposed themselves to unprotected sex and/ or even multiple partners, it is then to get tested every 6 months, due to the severity of spreading and / or contracting the disease. I personally believe in order to stop spreading of the disease ones need to be more educated on it as well as getting tested with their partner to exclude all mishaps, but even still one may have it, but just do not have enough T cells to show the disease just yet. Therefore, one can never be too careful when being precautious of catching the disease. We must treat everyone as if they are red flags, just as an officer has to proceed at the site of on the scene. They must treat the person as if they are positive (meaning protecting their selves from all bodily fluids).
