when comparing two different styles of music such as Country music and Rap though the differences may be simple to see there are a lot of characteristics they have in common as well. In both generes the majority of songs written involve going out getting intoxicated of same nature and having a great time. a difference between them is simply the image they both portray. Both Rap and Country artists share a very common love, the love for alcohol and drugs. it seems both types of artists love getting drunk or high and going out and having a great time, not many people notice that similarity. There is a country artist named Darius Rucker, he has a song called "Why'" In this song the chorus says "Why do we smoke' To get high. Why do we drink' To get drunk! Why do we go out' To get laid." So obviously he's interested in going out getting high, drinking a little to much, then taking a girl back home. In Rap; famous rapper 2-Chainz has a song called "Zip and a Double Cup" A zip is slang for a bag of cannabis and a double cup is known as the cough syrup known as lean. in the song he raps about going to the club, getting drunk, and getting high. The artists all love partying and that is something they both without a doubt have in common. Modern Country artist Kenny Chesney sings about smoking weed on the beaches of mexico, Y.M.C.M. Rapper Lil Wayne raps about doing cocaine and riding a skateboard. though its hard to see country as a party genere if you listen to the words sung, more than just a catchy tune will be heard. Not to mention their music videos, in every country music video a nice cold bud light can always be seen somewhere in the video. Like wise in rap videos though its not beer, Ciroc vodka and champagne can be seen in practically every seen of that rap video. Not to mention the way the girls are dressed both wearing little to almost no clothing. The country girls having short jean shorts and a red flannel and typically a blonde, meanwhile the rap divas are wearing a high fashion dress that exposes all forms of cleavage both upper and lower body. as noticed when compared they share quite a bit of qualities, but at the same time the biggest difference between them is the image they portray. Rappers are notoriously known for being thugs and gang members and they're okay with this. Country artists try to give off a cowboy vibe or the idea that they are gentlemen, East Coast rapper Jay-Z can be seen wearing some kind of nike shoes, designer jeans, designer shirt, a hat with his favorite basketball team, and of course the huge gold chains that will hang from his neck. Modern Country singer Keith Urban's daily attire consists of cow boy boots, faded jeans, a flannel shirt, and on top of his head would be a cowboy hat. clearly the images being shown are showing two different looks and forms of culture. although their love for partying may in fact be what brings them together. their differences, such as the way the dress and look, is what sets them apart. both artists love to go out, have a night on the town, drink some drinks, and talk to some pretty women. but the way they are dressed will clearly set them apart.
