During the song, the lyrics talk about how a man named Gregon is giving up, and says he doesn’t care if he dies. This makes the narrator of the song relies that he feels more alive than ever and begins to live his own life better. To me, this makes a statement about how we should allow some things to just blow over, and not sweat the little things, or they will end up taking over our lives. Ok Go- Invincible During the song, the lyrics are referencing a person who is invincible, and saying that the person will save them. This inspires me to do the best I can in everything, instead of hiding behind my problems, and cowering behind the obstacles that are sent my way. Cage the Elephant- Ain’t no rest for the wicked This particular song is one of my favorites, and shows that everyone has a little wicked in them. It reminds me that no one is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes. The Clash- Rudie can’t fail The story told within this song is a short conversation between two people, one has a reckless lifestyle, and the other is asking why he acts like he does. This makes me want to live my life to the fullest. Disturbed- Down with the sickness Although the lyrics of this song don’t hold any significance to me personally, whenever my family lands in hard times, my father always plays this song over and over. This song has begun to signify hope, and makes me want to stay positive.
