Always bend your knees, not your back and keep your back straight. 3. Assess the weight of the child or object. 4. Make sure you are holding the child or object firmly. 5. Test that you can safely lift before actually lifting. 6. Avoid twisting or bending as you lift. Electricity at work 1. Make sure all electric objects are in good working order and have passed the health and safety regulations and requirements. 2. Keep the electrical objects away from the reach of the child. 3.
