Employees are hired to do essential duties for the Companies. Organizations deal with their employees as business related. Employees show up every day at work to do their jobs. That is why employees were hired in the first place. They were hired to work hard and getting paid for their work. Some company’s treat their employees as people who show up to work to do their jobs and go home. Other company’s treat their employees with much more respect, friendship, and care. Some of the companies that treat their employees with friendship are more successful than others because business companies do not treat employees with friendship; employees get treated as individuals who work for the company. That is a reason employees care less about their organization. Employee recognition programs are making more harm than good because the program seems like an empty gesture rather than a motivator and employees would prefer a raise as recognition for the work he or she have done, saying thanks is acceptable, but a raise will definitely make him or her more satisfied instead of gifts. Companies say thanks to employees in an indirect way through gifts. Companies give gifts to employees in an insincere way that is the way the company or organization say thanks to their employees for the good job he or she did and disrespect them at the same time by asking the employees to pay tax for the gift given by the company. Any employee want a raise rather than a gift and when a gift is given out by the company apparently the gift must be tax free and has a meaning that shows the company appreciation to the employees for the good job he or she has done for the company that recognition will potential value the employees good job and will make the employee work harder and does his or her best serving the company and show his appreciation to the company too that will bring more positive reaction to the company if the employees are appreciated. Occasionally, employees prefer verbal rewards rather than gifts even though it is hard to come by, but it is preferable by the employees because it is quick and easy to be given out. Managers are always busy doing their job and making sure that others are doing their jobs too, managers main concern is to make sure the organization is making money and no one lacks with his or her job. Managers do not say thanks to their employees because they are one of the highest position in the organization, managers believe that all workers are the same and everyone is equal, so if he will thank an employee for something the employee did for the company, the manager will thank him by giving the employee a raise or promote him. This is the way companies and managers say thanks to their employees. They say it through a business-related way by giving employees a bonus, promotion or a raise. That is the motivation tool companies and managers use to appreciate employees who works at their companies or organizations. Managers are hired to do a certain job such as manage, conducts, trains, directs, deals, supervises, organizes, controls resources, and make money for the organization. As a manager, the steps I will be taking to motivate employees for observing them performing well at work is to encourage and praise employees for the good job he or she did for the company and make sure that the employee is appreciated for performing well by praising him or her in front of all the other employees for the achievement and success that was done by the employee so that the employees may not only believe cherished by his or her organization but will also work hard to get rewarded. Of course there will be downsides because the employees will expect receiving a raise instead of too many verbal praising. After a while the employees will get fed up and may not perform well as they used to because they work hard and not receiving the proper appreciation from the company for the work the employees invested. I will encourage the employees for working hard and will show them my appreciation by praising them in combination with the specific success and giving them a raise, which will show other employees performing well at work, will reward them. As a manager, I will motivate my employees by organizing group events, which admits the achievements of the organization at large, every month award the employee of the month, appreciate all employees for doing a good job and well performance, group training will ensure that all employees are treated equally, treat employees with positivity, outline problems and solve it, follow-ups with the employees who need help until the improvement occurs, support them and listen to their ideas about new ways to make work a better environment, earn his or her trust, show them respect, and Always thank him or her for coming to me.
