Personal Statement Experience I have been working for Blackburn with Darwen employment agency for two years since I left college. I have gained my experience through working in different centers such as Darwen, little Harwood, Livesey, Accrington, Audley children centre and Cedars Nursery. By doing this it has given me the opportunity to work with different age groups. I have had experience of developing excellent working relationships with parents, children, family support and the complex needs team. I feel that the key to developing these relationships is good communication skills and to delivery quality service for children and families. Also that Vital information is passed on to the correct party. I feel I am able to motivate my self and others in the team by developing good relationships with them. I feel it is very important to build trust and have good rapport with others. I am a very happy person always smiling. I am friendly who is reliable, trustworthy and approachable. I am motivated to do the job and I feel I can motivate others. I really enjoy working with children and it gives me pleasure to see them develop and learn new skills that they will need for later life. At My time at Cedars Nursery I have been involved in assessments of the nursery, this enabled the team to develop necessary areas to ensure that we are providing a good quality service, but follow the same quality standard as set down by the Early Years Foundation Stage welfare requirements, to ensure these procedures are followed as each setting is regulated and inspected by OFSTED, of which I have been part of. Abilities/skills and knowledge I have got the ability to establish good relationships with children and adults in various types of languages. I am a caring person and I am extremely confident when communicating with people. Through my previous training I have always maintained a professional and approachable relationship with children and staff. I believe that my first priority is the welfare of all children in education. I strongly believe in teamwork and effective partnership with staff, children and families. I understand the responsibility of a staff member to complete work on time and plan ahead appropriately for each child as this helps the child to meet their goals and fulfill their potential. It is very important to take responsibilities for your own actions and whilst working as a team member. I recognize the fact that me and my work colleagues, will work as part as a big team. I can now work with children and all parents who have English as an additional language. As I know three different languages which are Gujarati, English and Urdu. This can be used for interpretation in many different aspects. Personal Qualities I also have highest levels of professional and personal integrity. I believe that as a role model for the child and the wider school and nursery it is important to be punctual, reliable, trustworthy and professional at all times. As I have studied the Every Child Matters framework in detail, I believe I put in practice all the theory I have learnt, including having a very strong commitment to inclusion and overcoming barriers to learning and achievement. As my vast amount of experience portrays that I have worked with different aged pupils of varying abilities. When working with pupils it is important to persevere and have patience, as all students have specific needs. As a Muslim I believe that everyone should be treated equally. As I began my BA in Islamic Theology I have a deeper understanding of the Muslim faith. As an employee, I will bring with me an enthusiasm and motivation for this job. My ethics background and cultural awareness should allow me to become and integrated yet individual of a job member in an increasingly cosmopolitan society.
