It Happens Right' I remember this like if it was yesterday. Getting pull out of class to go to the school office in addition, being escorted by the school police officer was the most intense moment of my life. This experience was the most unique experience I have ever encountered because I had never felt a feeling that almost broke me down physically. I mean my legs were shaking, I couldn’t speak for nothing, I was nervous, and I also felt like the situation I was in was going to change everything in my life. Everything started in the summer of 2009, after my junior year of high school was done my mind was concentrated on one thing; trying to become an all-conference player for soccer. In the past years I had come very close to my goal but I never made it because I had only made it to be an honorable mention player. But my senior soccer season was going to be different because I was going to be dedicated to the sport. My friends and I used to go practice every day to the soccer field in order to get better. This action became a habit and since we played soccer everyday with the crew when decided to created some name for our crew, and we came up with the idea to call ourselves the Clyde Park Boyz. The reason behind this name; is that we all lived closed to the street of Clyde Park. And from then and on we were known as the Clyde Park Boyz. We took pride on our little crew name we created in the summer. We took pride in our names by posting up things in the Social Networks of Myspace and Facebook. We created videos of us playing, pictures of us hanging out, and pictures of us playing soccer. Once school started our crew was pretty well known in school and in the streets. Everyone knew about us and what we did. We played soccer and we were the best among others. Many people join us because they wanted to be part of the movement. We originally started with five members and we ended up with 20 members but all the members attended to our school. Being part of the crew made me feel good and happy all the time due to the fact that we all hang out all the time playing soccer. Even in the winter time we played soccer, we always rented the indoor place to go play every week in the winter. Everything was great in our crew; we all seem like a family, we all got along pretty well, but not everything is perfect. Some people just took our name and beyond it. This was the down fall of our crew. Some members took our named of our crew to the max! They started to tag the whole street of Clyde Park from Chicago Drive to 28th Street. This of course caught the attention of the police because they were breaking the law of the city. Furthermore, this was stupid because we were pretty well known everywhere so knowing who did it wasn’t that hard to find out. The first step of the police was to come to our school and interrogate all of the Clyde Park Boyz members. The police officers called every member from their class rooms. He searched everyone’s lockers for any CpB related papers for evidence. My first hour was about to start , It was a Monday morning I went to school breakfast and one of my friends told me about what the police officer have been doing to my friends. I got nervous about it because I knew I was going to throw everything away, everything I had work on I was going to throw it away if they would of got me to go to jail. My first hour started, so I went straight to the locker room to change in my gym clothes, all I had in my mind was “I’m about to get in trouble” I went back to my class; I started playing basketball after 20 minutes I saw the police officer coming inside the gym looking at me, i instantly knew he was coming for me. He talk to the teacher for like 2 minutes before he decided to call me up and escort me to my locker to search any CPB paper, after he search completely my locker he found a paper that had CPB all over it. He took me back to the office where 4 more police officers were waiting for me to testify what’s the whole thing behind the CPB thing. He said the tagging of our crew name made us a gang related group. This of course took me by surprise because I didn’t think that a small thing could end up so bad. I had plans for my future and this was only going to slow me down on my way to success. I explain everything about it. I told the police officers how everything happens and how it came to be, from the beginning to the end. after I got donned talking to them, they explain to me why I should quit the crew and leave everything behind because they knew I had potential to become a better person. They gave me a second chance and I knew right there and then I should really start to be more mature about my decision I take in life. But, luckily they found out who made the tagging and he got all the blame for it. These of course save us all from suffering catastrophically consequences in our young lives. This help me realize I should be more smart on the decisions I make and who I get to hang out with, after what happen with the situation made me see how important my life is and how much of a future I have. Every action you take always has a consequence even if it is the smallest thing a bad action will always make you want to regret it. This has helped me out a lot because now I know what’s best for me.
