A Market for hamburger Hamburger is a sandwich made of cooked ground meat such as pork or combination of meats, and patty, placed inside a roll of sliced bread. It is classified into fast food and individually made hamburger. Usually, hamburger is served with onions, tomatoes, cheese and condiments such as mustard. It is produced in masses in factories and frozen to make them reach consumers fresh. This food may be offered in all fast food restaurants, used as picnic food, in parties or as fast dinner. A hamburger can also be made of different varieties. Its components include Ground liver, binders such as eggs and bread crumbs, seasonings such as salt, pepper, soy sauce and onions. Different types of meat are also used. Some include turkey meat, chicken meat, and ostrich meat among others. Its name depends on the type of meat used in its preparation. Sea food or lamb mixture with beef and textured (to avoid reducing nutritional value) vegetable proteins are also added. The components may be served separately or added to the hamburger. It is also topped with avocado, bacon and cheese or chili. Other uncommonly added ingredients include fried eggs, cheese, pineapple, chili peppers, onion rings and potato chips. Some are made of two parties whereas others are made of three parties. Those made of two parties are referred to as double duckers and those made of three parties are known as triple duckers. They are also smoothened with different colors to capture the different interests of consumers. The market for this product internationally located. This means that, the product is produced and sold in different countries all over the world. Marketing of the product thus is high due to its spread. The product is easily, locally and cheaply achievable. Growth on the size of income for this product is expected each and every other day. This is affected by its increasing demand, its local availability and presence of a non competitive market. More income growth is brought about by the fact that the price of the product depends on the components used in its making, the size and the quantity a consumer is able and willing to purchase/acquire. No set of price elasticity for the product hence the price is independent of the demand. The only best thing about this product is that it is an essential product. It serves equally all the people regardless of the size of income, gender and locality. The product is also locally and internationally available for efficient service to everyone. This enables it to reach all the consumers over the world. According to Barber (7), so as to increase the demand for hamburger, suppliers should advertise more of the product. Various types of advertisements involving audio, visual and gestures should be used. Involvement of the media to their advertisement, that is the use of radios and televisions, will make of their advertisement better. They should also offer promotions not only by use of the product, but also inclusive other things like money and other prizes. To meet the increased demand, increased technology should be introduced in production. This will enable the producers to come up with more designs, of different shapes, sizes and color. Through this, more of the product will be required in the market to meet increased consumer needs involving tastes and preferences (Smith, 57). More development of the market is expected throughout. This is easily attainable since great opportunities for more new entries into the market have been availed. The only factor which will limit profits is decreased supply and production and not any other (Trage, 232). This market is such a sensible one whereby each one can indulge into making high profits. Quality and demand for this product makes it to have more profit opportunities for both new and existing firms. An overall opportunity to the nation is creation of more job opportunities.
