London and Muse at Wembley, 10th September 2010 The 10th september is the day that I will remember till the end of my life. I spent five days in London during this September. I had been in London two times before this visit and I had visited some places and attractions before. But London is so huge that you can go there a hundred times and there will be still something that you have not seen before. This big advanture began around this time last year. I was talking with my girlfriend Lucy about Muse and I told if they will play at Wembley one day, we will be there. Few days after Muse announced that they will be playing at Wembley. So I did not waver and I booked the tickets as fast as possible. I gave the tickets to Lucy on her nameday, she was very surprised and I was very happy that I will be on the concert. The 10th September was probably the most memorable day out of these 5 days on our trip, we started by River Cruise on Thames, then we were at some London attractions and at the end of the day we were at Wembley Stadium at Muse concert. From my point of view, the best way we could start our trip in London was to take a River Cruise on the Thames. I had been thinking about that before we went to London while I was planning our trip. So on the 10th September we woke up in our hotel room, ate breakfast at the restaurant and took the tube to Central London. It took around twenty minutes to get under Big Ben. We left the underground and we could see gorgeous Big Ben. We took some photos and got in a boat at the Big Ben Pier. We took a one hour and thirty minutes tour from Big Ben to Greenwich and then on the return way, we left at Tower Bridge Pier. During a whole cruise we had a spectacular view of London. We could see the most significant places and historical buildings in London. For example the Houses of Parliament with Big Ben, the London Eye, the Gherkin, St. Paul´s cathedral, Shakespeare´s Globe Theatre and a lot of expensive apartments by the river. We sailed under the London Bridge, Tower Bridge and through Canary Wharf – London business centre to Greenwich where we could see a famous Greenwich observatory. All the people on the boat, including me, were amazed by the things that they could see. It was a great idea to begin the day with River Cruise. We left the boat at Tower Bridge Pier and went to some of the many London attractions. We began by walking around the Tower of London and then we entered Tower Bridge. Probably the most famous bridge in the World. We got to the top of the bridge by the lift and walked from one tower to the other tower on the opposite side of the Thames. I had a beautiful view of London from there. When I was walking from one tower to the other, outside of the towers were painters who were painting this historical monument. After we left Tower Bridge we walked along modern London City Hall till we were under London Bridge. All around I felt the atmosphere of London. Busy Londoners and a lot of tourists were everywhere. When we arrived under London Bridge there was an attraction called the London Bridge Experience. This attraction won the British prize for the most scary attraction in whole Britain. We bought tickets and entered the attraction with a guide. The first part of this attraction did not impressed me a lot, it was about London Bridge history and it was a little bit boring. So I did not expect a lot from the second part – London Catacombs. But it was a mistake, it was probably the most scary ten minutes in my life! There were around 10 rooms in different styles with no lights, with live actors that were screaming at you, scaring you, when you did not expect. After I left the catacombs I was happy that it was just attraction and my heart was beating like before heart-attack for a next 10 minutes. Then we took the tube and slowly went to Wembley Park. It took about thirty minutes to get to the Muse concert at Wembley Park. We were very excited because our dream came true. We left the uderground and all around were thousands of people wearing Muse tshirts. It was about one kilometre from the underground station to Wembley stadium. When we approached the stadium the atmosfere became more awesome. Finally we entered Wembley. I was there about year ago, at the football match. So I knew the atmosphere there is fantastic. When we entered the pitch there was Big Pink and Lilly Allen singing and supporting the Muse before they entered the scene. Then Muse began their absolutely fantastic show. They mixed songs from their new album with old songs. Eighty thousands people were singing with them. This show lasted around two hours. It was amazing how Matt Bellamy was able to singing, playing the guitar and piano for two hours. Then it ended, we were very excited and after our experience we went back to the hotel. I am happy that I could experience such a great day as the 10th September. It is memorable a day that I will never forget. The time that we spent at River Cruise, London attractions and at Wembley was fantastic.
