Andrew Eddy Title Then world is full of people who do terrible thing from Adolf Hitler, to the terrorist who blew up the twin towers, do the people that live in our own back yards. In this story I am unfortunately one of them. In this story I will talk about the terrible thing that I did to a man that gave me a job and was nothing but nice to me and how I betrayed his trust. Lets go back to august 7th. I was down on my luck just sitting in my room getting fatter and fatter just waiting for something interesting to happen. For the last 3 and a half months I have no job my car was about to break and all I was doing was just sitting there. So I talked to one of my friends and he was about op work down at the fair and he said that I might be able to get a job down there with him working one of the fair rides that he has worked on for the last couple of years. So I jumped on the opportunity and went down there and spent 4 hours trying to prove my self to the boss and after all that he finally said the words that I will never forget “no”. I was stunned and said that I was and pleasure working for him and was sorry that I did not meat his expectations as I was walking away he told me to wait. Turned around and said “ya”. He then went on to say that he felt bad for letting a kid like me walk away so he said that I was getting a job for him working a ride called the ejection seat. I had finally gotten a break so he told me to be here on Saturday the 13 at 5 and be ready to work. I was so excited that I almost hugged him but stopped just short and shook his hand and said “thank you so much I won’t let you down”. I wake up at around two in the after noon and realize that today is Saturday so I get ready for work was my cloths take a shower and slowly drudge my way to my sliver 1995 mercury mystique. By the time it is four. So I make my way down to the fair it was so busy that I could I hardly get a spot and make it on time. Get to my ride at 5 sharp and this thing is at least 180ft tall so I head to the cash register and ask the girl working were Alan is she points him out to me. As I am walking over to him I meant the whole crew and the other mangers after all the introduction are made I get a quick run though the way the register works and what my job is after about a half an hour I take over for the cute girl that was running it and I am basically by my self for about the next 4 hours just having people “Singh the life away” for the ejection seat basically two bungee cord that gets tightened to the point were you basically get a sling shot that dose not go any were. But four 4 straight hours me had people that would go on it. We must have had close to 400 groups go and at 25 dollars a pop that ant cheap. So as the day went by me and this man probably 30 or 35 years old got to be pretty good friend and as the night went on Cortez and I were talking and he told me that he had done this for years and every year he came away with about 2 grand place they went. So as he was talking about that I thought man 2 grand would be great but I was only going to make 7.25 an hour and I would probably come away with 500 dollars. So I asked him how he got payed 7.25 same as me and worked the same hours as me. So I asked him how are you making 1500 more than me. Then he told me about a plan that me and him would steal 3000 dollars and split it 50/50 so we would each walk away with 1500 and no one would no a thing. The more I thought about the more I wonted it so like the dumb kid I was I went with the plan. So after that day I slowly started to take 50 here and a 100 there and before we had gotten to Wednesday we had already stole 300 dollars total so there was this playstation 3 I had been looking at for three months so I used the money that I had gotten and spent it on a game system. So as I was counting the rest of the Money I had my sister just walked in to my room and saw the money I had so she asked and at this time like the dumb kid I was I told her what I was doing but made her promise not to tell my parents. So I went to work and as the day went on I felt more and more guilty for stealing the money so I stop for that day and when I got home my mom and dad were sitting in the living room with my playstation right between them so after a very long talk with them we decided that I would not get in any trouble with them if I went and told Alan what I had done and played him back for the money I took. So the next day I went and told him everything and gave him the 80 dollars I had lefty over and told him I would have the rest by Saturday. He said the I was fired for what I had done but he was still proud of me for coming to him to tell him the truth so as the day went on I saw Cortez cared away in hand cuffs. Then I realized that could have been me so I went home soled my playstation 3 and my Xbox just to pay him back. So what is the moral of this story. Stealing is wrong all it can do is just make every thing worse for you. Just look at me I had to sell one of the best thing in my life just to pay debt. So I didn’t even get a dime out of working very hard for three days and now cause I am I stupid kid I get nothing and lose more than just my Xbox it will be a while before I get there trust back
