Issue: The increasing of leisure technology, such as computer and online game Has grown to a new commodity of relaxation to adolescents. Thesis Statement: This essay is center on, why leisure activity can be drawback to the early Development of young ones and the reason are subsequently classified under Social effects, health and resulted in less academic capability. Support for Thesis . Main idea 1: Social Idea A -Social behavior i. Aggression ii. Addiction iii. Criminal behavior Main idea2: Health Idea A -Physical effects i. Eyesight problem ii. Abstract This essay will explain the reason why leisure activity can of detrimental to children. Firstly it will roughly describe the fast development of leisure technology, for what it might be a new replacement of past time activity. Following the impacts that this new leisure experience have for the lives of our young ones, affecting their social life, health, resulted in less academic capability. Finally this will conclude that the using of computer and online game can have a deleterious effect on the development of young ones. Therefore parents should take responsible and take a look on what their children have expose to or involve in. (105 words) Leisure Activity- An Enjoyable Pastime Activity for Young Generation. The invention of new technology has made changes to our surrounding and one of these new inventions is leisure technology. In the past children tend to spend free time engaging themselves in non-technology activities, such physical exercise and spent time with family and friends, contributing to their overall personal development. This was generally perceived as harmless and enjoyable pastime. However, the fast growing of leisure technology and the ready availability of games, whereas children are spending more time, has come to a great concern, which can be affecting their social life, health and of course less in academic capability. To begin with, leisure technology has a great commodity of relaxation nowadays. Technology and platforms such as face book and computer and online games have significantly transformed the world spends its leisure time. It has enable people to established leisure practice for instance, charting, interactive and engage more on social activities. However, the beginning of the game technology started off the advent space invaders in 1979, thus it became obsolete, due to saturation of market. In the late 1980s the arrival of the Japanese Nintendo system, soon sale started to rise, computer game became popular (Surre, 1982).Additionally games have changes over the years and the effects it have on children may also have changed. As the center of this argument concerning the use of leisure technology among adolescents, question has been asked; either it is a drawback to every aspects of their early development' As the answer to this question based upon the research conducted by. (Anderson and Ford, 1986) that many children behavior changes after playing a violent theme game or watching movie mainly referring to television or computer game. Furthermore, there is specific great concern about the children aggressive behavior. For once strategies of technology often changes, therefore introductory of new game are different from older one and the effect they potentially have on children’s behavior may change. For example, one of the popular play station games that children would like to play is cage fighting and rustling, whereas this is the type of game that feature some kind of aggression. It firmly believed that children were exposing to a violent theme game later tend to act similarly to the way the game character acted. Thus most likely to be the subject of adverse effect connected with playing of computer games. Another factor that contributes to social behavior is addiction. The ready availability of computer game has led many children to spend great amount of time playing game. Amplify less interest in other activities, which is likely any other form of addiction behavior, relatively to aggressing, children can become addictive by frequent use of computer game. (Philip, 1995) advises that most common pattern is daily with long hours of playing, thus become addicted. This however has specially considered connection between computer game paying and criminal activity. As related aspects, children tend to spend all their money on playing frequently and regular. Children spending more time on leisure technology does not seem to consider what the impact might it cause .One health problem that can cause is eyesight and headache problem, consequently this by spending long duration of time playing and by looking closely at the computer screen, that can be a severe damage to an eyesight and cause a headache problem, thus become neglected their food intake, resulting in weight loss. Lastly, as the wide available of leisure technology, children will try to spent more of their time on exploring and try to experience on how it can make a difference on leisure experience, nevertheless ,unwisely dividing and planning time on leisure activities and academic studies. Survey has been carried out that most children from age 9 to 15 years are most likely skills in computer game player but less in academic achievement. This however is due to spending more time on leisure technology and does not consider of improving their academic studies. Therefore, this stagnate the academic learning and increasing in low mark on academic result. Based upon the evidence providing through this essay. It has been seen the impacts that evolve from leisure technology does have deleterious effects on an individual causes detrimental to young personal development, whereas parents does not seem to notice the impact that causes for a long run, whilst hinder their academic capability. It recommended that the fundamental of a child begins from home, therefore parents should take control and consider on how their children can be better in future, by imparting social culture and its value and consider that spending leisure time on past time activity is more healthier and better, monitoring the academic improvement and providing alternative on their free time or else the development of young generation will be in jeopardy.
