Through out a child’s education they are given certain rights. It begins from pre-school where there are legal requirements which are all very relevant to inclusive practice and they must be enforced to ensure that the law is not broken.an example of a law that must be reinforced in the pre-school setting is based in children act 1989,this act specifies the needs of children at the top of its priority list.it is in place to protect children and encourages children to be brought up and cared for in stable families, wherever possible There are other laws such as: the Race relation act which makes it unlawful to discriminate directly or indirectly against any applicants for school places in regard to their race, colour, and nationality including citizenship, ethnic or national origins. It also says no child should be excluded or put at a disadvantage because of all the mentioned above instead equal opportunities and good relations should be promoted, the Sex Discrimination acts 1976 and 1986.this act makes it unlawful to discriminate against a person directly or indirectly on racial grounds.it occurs when someone is treated less favourably because of her or his racial differences. This is divided in two groups: Direct discrimination: this is when someone is treated differently because of their race or culture. For example, no letting a child take part of the play because of her/his race or culture. Indirect discrimination: this when one racial group is favoured over other.
