Reza Javidan Leadership Final August 9, 2010 Describe some of your future plans as they relate to your service as a leader. As a future leader, I will use the qualities of a transformational leader. I believe that in order to move to any situation first a leader has to have a strong vision. I have plans to graduated and become a business owner. Ownership is going to let me to be a leader who approaches and creates valuable and optimistic change in my followers. With the end goal in mind, I can train my followers into becoming leaders. The goal is to set an example in my work so that the followers have an opportunity to develop their own leadership styles. As a future transformational leader, I want to include connecting with my follower's in an intelligent way and being a role model for followers that inspire them. My mission as a leader after my school world is to challenge my followers to take greater ownership for their work. I have learned that understanding the strengths and weaknesses of my future followers will allow them to see my vision, and to create a whole new vision of their own. I have learned to be an opportune transformational leader by aligning followers with tasks that optimize their performance. To be a leader is envisioning and being able to create an environment for that idea to grow. Lastly through using trait theories I have learned what kind of person makes an exceptional leader. Behavior and trait theories show exemplary leadership and how they show responsibility for their behaviors. Leadership is a skill learned through experiences and using correct ethics. Advisor to President Obama All presidents react to the political situation they find themselves in through a variety of approaches, depending upon their policy goals, personalities, desire for reelection, and not least of all, their courage. As a political leader Obama seems influenced by these practical elements, but he should be far more concerned with the immediate welfare of the people he is leading than with partisan concerns. His dislike among people in the United States is going to be a critical issue for him. The number one issue on his agenda should be reelection. As a charismatic leader, he was able to bring people together with the slogan of change. He is working extremely hard on many issues, but the economy should be on top of the list. He should develop the government spending to establish a financial changes that people need. By allowing the government to invest in people, he can recognize the economy to recover. Instead of bailing out bureaucrats who do not need more money, he needs to focus on bailing out the people who are suffering. This doesn’t mean that he should accept the government agencies to print more money, but only to transfer wealth from the government to the private sector. By allowing such a scheme, he can allow people to prosper more by spending money. If the consumption slows down domestically then the economy will get weaker, and so will President Obama's popularity. The American people want to take bold moves from a transnational leader who they voted for. This will allow for more popularity among voters and possibly grantee another reelection at the end of his term. Pick a famous person' When the question is present leadership, Barack Obama’s name comes to mind. A true leader who through his charismatic leadership enabled the world to see the United States of America as productive leader once again. As Max Webber describes charismatic leadership Obama is the leader who is “resting on devotion to the exceptional sanctity, heroism or exemplary character of an individual person, and of the normative patterns or order revealed or ordained by him." Obama has showed through his campaigning and the presidency that charismatic personality is to have a distinct, solid and strong personality. He is also a visionary, visualization to a greener future and more stable middle class for our country. His feelings are strong towards rebuilding these countries economic and foreign policy. He is able to make others perceive his emotions through his speeches. Through making bonds with the American people he succeeded to become the first African American leader that the United States of America has ever seen. It seems that he has no problem being in the spotlight to spear his thoughts and imagination to the American people. Altogether his qualities have made him an effective leader with a lot of charisma. Obama as a moral leader is an person who has governs or have made decisions based on fairness and ethical guidelines. Ethical leadership is a enormous part of the everyday life of a president. To gain public office and serve our country for Obama is been seen to hitch his bandwagon to something way higher and bigger then himself. These are the qualities of a charismatic leader.
