Is There A God' I. Introduction Can you answer the question is there a God with proof and evidence that someone higher than the realms of reality has existed throughout time. The answer is yes. With the world looking for answers individuals tend to turn to the inside for their beliefs and contentment. They usually find this in their belief of God and their religion. We are looking for something or someone greater than ourselves to provide comfort, reassurance, and peace. It takes individuals motivation and reasons to look for those answer in the existence of God. Proving the existence of God in our world as well as in the universe is not that hard to fathom. As the creation of all things have a perfect design to them. Understanding everything in the universe, especially humans can exist because of the factors of a supreme design by the Supreme Being. Those that have ignorance or discontentment there is no such thing as God. With the theory of creation versus evolution man has learned there are no identifiable traits that link one to the other. It was historical philosophers that gave us theories to contemplate the existence of God by providing examples of how they perceived in the world in what we live in that God does exist. So the question remains is there a God only depends on one’s belief system that can make that decision of whether or not there is a God. II. Principle Issues: A. Existence B. Human existence C. Answering prayers D. Ignorance III. Existence: A. Creator of the universe B. Uniform laws of nature First things first existences of the universe had to come from somewhere and from someone with a greater imagination. This grand design has everything perfectly placed in position. Every planet is thousands of miles apart from each other and even light years way to prevent collision into each other. The designer could only be the one who has control of these events and existence, God. His perfect masterpiece is earth for which man inhabits. With this the story of our lives begins. “Earth is the only known planet equipped with an atmosphere of the right mixtures of gases to sustain plant, animal, and human life”. (Adamson) This supreme design had to be thought up by one with great vision. Knowing that any living thing cannot exist without gravity, oxygen, water, food, and more had to have a great designer. It is thought that nothing exist unless someone designed it first. Nothing can come from nothing. The first case argument “demonstrates the existence of a creator that transcends time, that has neither beginning nor end.” (Existence-of-God.com, 2004) Therefore, the universe we live in was designed to support life. The uniform law of nature is everything happens for a reason. Considering God’s logic was implanted in the universe means that Gods will will be done. This theory gives the uniform law of nature only to exist because of God. IV. Humans existence A. Chosen B. Purpose God chose to fill the earth with the start of Adam and Eve. So they would in turn fill the earth with children. God wanted all to obey his commands and at a certain period God decided to create different nations, cultures, and languages. We were choosen to a mirror image and likeness of God himself. We were also chosen to rule over everything that inhabits the earth. Humans are God’s masterpiece. Consider why God created man are that we are the most important creatures in all kingdoms because we were created into the image of God. The purpose of our creation was to complete his work. This is known as resurrection, closing the hole between mortal and immortal. We are here to repair the damage that Adam and Eve had created. V. Answering prayers A. Why are some prayers not answered B. How do we know that God is listening Satan would have believers believe God has shut us off but on the contrary that is incorrect. Prayers should be directed to Gods will and not our own selfish desires. Only when we listen to God’s calling of obedience that he hears our prayers. We need to learn patience as this will be the proof we seek. As long as we are silent in prayer the lauder God will answer. As individuals faithful and acceptance of the wisdom of God our prayers will be answered. “Prayer is not a simple remedy to remove the challenges of interacting with the world. What prayer can do is give us God’s perspective on the problems, and help us to develop the strength to work through them with him”. (prayerguide.org, 2001) VI. Ignorance A. Atheism Some individuals believe that there is always a scientific explanation of why things are and why things happen. Therefore, God does not exist. Science is more plausible to them in explaining why natural disasters, war, evolution of man, and the earth all exist. They believe those who do believe in God are for the reasons of unexplained phenomenas are better if referred to God’s creation and not scientific proof. VII. Personal Views: A. A plan B. Creation vs. evolution C. Believing D. Acceptance VIII. A plan A. Why was it designed B. How do we follow it C. A greater end for all of us The plan was designed before we were even thought of. God knew that we would come into existence and have a specific destination laid-out for us to follow. We will never know the specifics of that plan until we live it. Obedience and believing in the Supreme Being will guide and carry us through our tribulations, our triumphs, and our weakness. Remaining faithful in our hearts and soul that God is here all around us will help in aiding the assistance to follow his plan. For it is written in the Bible that our mortal lives come to an end in death but our souls are awaken when entering the kingdom of heaven. The promise of life without pain, hurt, anger, and resentfulness, awaits our return home. IX. Creation vs. Evolution A. Apes to man B. Design of the human body In 1 Corinthians 5:7 “We walk by faith, not by sight.” Through evolution scientist believe that apes adapted to his or her surroundings by learning to walk on two legs and evolving into man. This is considered to be called naturalistic science. This relates to Darwin’s theory of evolution. “Darwin’s general theory presumes the development of life from non-life and stresses a purely naturalistic (undirected) descent with modification.”(article.wn.com, 2010) As scientists are learning from the fossilized evidence there are no connections between the two. The DNA of a human body is so complex that only God could have that design to create something with so many specific characteristics that enable all living things to exist. It is hard to imagine that God created man from the dust of the earth into the complex of the different DNA structures that make up the human body. This is faith and man’s need for explanation for the theory of creation vs. evolution lie. Evolution only explains life without the existence of God and denies the need for God. X. Believing A. Proof B. Necessity C. Miracles Seeing is not believing, believing is seeing. We do not have to see God in human form as he is in everything all around us like the air, beauty, land, creation of animals, and most important in us. Proof can exist inside us so that we can live a comfortable and pure life. The necessity is the reassurance that God has a perfect design for us. No matter what happens in our lives someone is always there to comfort us in times of distress. He also provides us with miracles. Whether it is from being cancer frees, winning the lottery, or making a bad situation into something good. Miracles surround us in the littlest ways possible. XI. Acceptance A. God will never leave Although at times it seems that God has left us standing there alone facing the devil but the truth is he is there. The acceptance of pure knowledge is that God will never leave your side. He only asks that we never leave him. God made the design of man to serve and worship him. This is to show our everlasting love for something greater than ourselves. This will lead us to the life that we seek of peace. No more wars, death, and Satan can enter the house of God and disrupt a perfect world of existences. XII. Historical Philosophers A. Rene Descartes B. Anne Conway C. Immanuel Kant XIII. Rene Descartes A. I exist B. I have a mind Rene believed that God necessarily exist. If it was not for God he would not exist. Rene was a rationalist meaning he believed that knowledge is derived from logical thinking. He believed that God would not deceive our sense, there are things outside one ’s self, and external things represent things themselves. He believed that God gave a mind to realize the true nature of God’s existence. XIV. Anne Conway A. God is nonmaterial B. Non physical C. All perfect According to Anne God was the creator of all things because he chose to create them. She knew that God being all perfect would never change his mind on spirituality. She believed that God was changeless only to mean that he exist outside the dimensions of time. She believes that the universe has existed because God has always existed. XV. Immanuel Kant A. Logical understanding B. External power “Kant was of the view that while the existence of God could not be proven, we ought to come to a belief in God’s existence by way of logical understanding”. (blupete.com, 2005) He believed that freedom of will and immortality of one’s soul was due to God’s divine design. He also believed that there is another realm of world known as a spiritual realm. He believed that the mind and soul are non-material entity. Conclusion: Though some individuals believe that God only exist in theory or not at all other can provide proof that God does exist. One’s own preference in the result in believing there is a God and he will give them the strength to face a new day. So the question remains is there a God' There is enough evidence and proof that exist today to show those that do not believe if it was not for the Supreme Being, God the universe and we would have never existed.
