From the time of birth, humans have an ingrained appreciation for music, unlike any other animal. Music means something different to every individual. It works as a means of learning, relaxation, and fun. An active participation in listening to and performing music is beneficial to everyone throughout the different cultures of the world. Music is the universal language and it has helped people understand each other for years. It has the power to heal you when you’re sad, put a smile on your face when you’re mad, and heal you at your worst time.
Music is a special art which is made of various rhythms and tunes arranged in a way that is pleasant or exciting to listen to. In our human lives, music makes up a crucial part. It seems to be a friend that is always accompany by us whenever we have experienced happy or sad moments. In happy time, it is necessary to have a friend to cheer and share with us the unforgettable feelings; and music comes, multiplying these times by its melodies, themes and tunes. In addition, ever since we have been in sadness, once more, music will relieve our pain, balance ourselves, and help us overcome the difficulties in its own special way. Thus, for many people, music is essential thing to live happily throughout their lives.
Music has always been a part of every culture, big or small. It has been there from the begging of time, and I'm sure it will be there at the end. It has become a part of my culture, and who we are. A lot of music represents us as people, but then you have other music expresses us as people. Either way, music is around and keeps on growing. Growing to new ideas and feelings that capture’s more of my culture as listeners. I've noticed that my culture judges and categorizes its peers by the music that they listen to. Because music isn't just something you listen to anymore, it's who you are. The parents of this generation notices that too I believe.
I have also found music to be very motivating. Before any Fashion Show, Sports Competition, or big test I listen to music because it mentally prepares me so that I go into any situation feeling that I’m a winner. There will be some sort of positive lyric in a song that will make you be prepared for whatever’s to come. After listening to music it feels like you’re expectant for what’s next like you can take on the world. No matter whether you feeling happy, sad, tired, or lazy, it’s something about the music that naturally gets you motivated to go out and give a hundred percent to the task at hand. Music also gives you a great understanding there is a song that explains every situation. There are certain things that life throws at you that make you want to breakdown. Someone could be rejected by the love of their life and feel like they can’t move on. There was a time were this exact situation effected me I was devastated. I couldn’t eat or sleep and it seemed like every little thing reminded me of her. Believe it or not it was a song that helped me and told me that there are more fish in the sea, and that there would be a brighter day.
As my culture grows, the need for music also grows. I feel that music is a part of everyday life. From children on down to adults we use it in social interaction, games, learning, expression, and developing relationships. It acts as an exercise of the mind, body, and soul. In the end we need music in the world because it can touch places and heal us were no other entity besides God can. Music plays so many different roles in today’s world it has resolved major issues in many different cultures. Coming from me and my culture we can appreciate music and will continue to support music because it continues to support us. Music is a major part of my culture, and me that’s something that will remain the same without change.
