Should United States government policy favor certain kinds of immigrants'
There should not be any favoritism within the policy for certain kinds of immigrants. There should still be rules for each immigrant entering the US. Fees should remain the same for all, but there should be a sliding scale fee for lower income families that want to move. I personally am not in favor of any certain kind of immigrant, but I do feel that ALL should still have to follow the same rules and testing and not flee to the US. This could bring different types of illnesses and even murders and other law breaking people to the US. Overall, America is known as the land of the free and we have so many choices, as an immigrant I would want to educate myself by going to college and getting a degree. I don’t appreciate immigrants
2. Should [citizenship] preference be given to the neediest applicants' The most talented' The most oppressed' The richest'
There are many types of immigrants from all over, but personally I feel that none should be treated differently. The most talented people would only better themselves in the US for what they already have. The most oppressed would benefit the most, because they have came from not having anything. They would be able to come to the US where we have grants and loans to put them on their feet. The richest would not make a difference either way. It is not good for the rich to be favoritized because they are able to buy their way to the US. The poor should be treated just as equal as the rich and talented. There may even be better resources to help them accomplish thier educational and financial goals that are not able to be met from where they are from lack of poverty.
3. Should applications from certain countries be given priority'
No, every application should be treated the same. The US is very diverse with race, color and creed. We are taught to not discriminate by those factors. Money and talent should not be an advantage for citizenship. Oppressed people should be treated equal as well. Children of all types of families cannot help their living conditions and would not be given the chance for the freedom we have nor education. All applications should be considered and even have a type of sliding scale for the ones that are not able to afford the fingerprints and application processing fee that is involved.
