How_Does_Money_Make_Trade_Easier

How does money make trade easier' Money makes trade easier because in today’s society, people can’t self sustain themselves without buying goods and services from others. In the past centuries, people lived simply. They had to survive by raising their own food, by farming, ranching, and making their own clothes. In today’s society, people live in clustered areas or cities and towns, and rely on others to provide food, fuel, clothing, and everyday essentials for them. They are called consumers, and without some sort of currency to pay for these goods and services, they would cease to exist. On the larger scale, cities, states, and nations trade goods and services with each other by use of wire transfers, and internet payments. There are many types of electronic transmissions used to pay for goods traded or provided everyday. If we didn’t have a currency to pay for these services, how would we buy a computer from Japan, or a golf club from Korea' The use of credit cards has made the trading of goods, or purchasing of goods from other countries a daily routine. How does money function as a means to an end in personal, corporate, or national relationships' Money is how we get by and accumulate items in our life. In our personal lives, money is how we are paid, or compensated for the jobs we perform. Money is the way we move from one status to another by the purchase of a house, a car, or pay for our life styles we need. Money in the corporate world is the currency we use to compensate employees, buy materials to manufacture the products that the company sells, to purchase the material to ship the items the company makes, and to invest in the employee’s pensions, health care, and investments. Money used in national relationships is the way trade relationships are compensated. If one nation delivers goods to another, they are paid for with money or goods and services. If one nation trades with another, they pay each other in currency that is acceptable for both. If one nation provides many more services to another in trade, it is said to be a trade deficit. The United States trades many goods and services to countries around the world everyday. These goods are mandated, and regulated by the governments to ensure proper balancing of the amounts by a universal currency or money they both can use. Money is also used in humanitarian ways. The United States has donated millions of dollars to Haiti to help the people of that nation after their earthquake that devastated their lives. How does money serve as an economic facilitator' Money serves as an economic facilitator in many ways. Money gives us the ways and the means to provide items, goods and services for many. When we are in an economic down turn, or recession, the government uses it vast resources to lower the prime rate on its lending of money to other banks and financial institutions to stimulate the economy to grow. Money can be the economic facilitator to get things going, if used properly. Do you think money is the lifeline of the economy' Why or why not' I do believe that money is the lifeline of our economy. Lack of money in people’s pockets does not make a healthy economy. Americans are by nature consumers. If we cannot consume goods and services, then the entire economy will suffer. As we have seen in the past weeks and months, lack of money makes people stay home more, shop less, and manage their personal money more closely. When people are working, they are buying, purchasing, planning, investing and planning for their futures. Without money, or the means to purchase that new car, finance that dream home, or invest for the kid’s college fund, we stagnate as an economy and our growth stops or shrinks. How is money used as a motivator to invest in or prohibit social causes' Social causes are only as strong as the people who support them. Without supporters, the cause will not survive, or be very weak. Using money as the support, a cause can grow, and flourish. Donations fuel social causes and the lack of funding causes their demise. If a group of people do not believe in a social cause, they can pool all their resources and create an anti marketing campaign to stop it. In my home state of Maine, every two years during the election years, the anti-gun lobbyist use massive resources to run campaigns to get a recall of gun permits on the legislative ballot. They want gun control in our state, like they have succeeded in many other states. Fortunately, the state of Maine is a sportsman’s paradise, and many people from other states travel to Maine to enjoy the outdoors and spend money, which helps our economy. Many people come and use our woodlands and waterways for sports activities, and that is why tourism makes a large economic impact on our economy.
