2. Analyse
1.
The menu of “shingle inn” is easy of understanding and it has a very good order. The background of the menu is also well designed and it makes it a bit luring. You can order many different meals, like All Day Breakfast, Light Meals, Gourmet Sandwiches, Melts, Classic Sandwiches and Gourmet salads. You can also order extras to your menus and with the symbols “HL”, “GF”, “MF” is shown if it’s healthy living, gluten free or milk free. The only bad thing is that there are no prices on the website. The meals are more for breakfast or lunch and just a little snack. If you want to eat a big dinner, shingle inn isn’t a good place.
2. The menu of “The Coffee Club” is a long and easy of understanding menu. It has a big selection of different food, you can order big meals like pizza or something from the open Grill and you can order small meals like sandwiches or Wraps. They have an All Day breakfast and an All Day Dining. There is also a Kid’s Combo and a desert category. You can eat there at all times of the day, because the different meals are for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The huge selection attracts everybody who sees the menu. The prices are okay for a coffee club and for these many meals is it a good price.
Part C: Creating your own coffe Shop Menu
Easy Melon and Ham Starters
Servings: 24 appetizers
Ingredients
1/4 pound thinly sliced Black Forest ham
1 small cantaloupe, halved, seeded, rind removed and melon cut into 1-1/2-inch pieces
4 teaspoons fresh lime juice
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
24 wooden picks
Directions
1. Lay ham slices on work surface. Cut slices lengthwise into thirds. Place one melon piece in center of each piece of ham. Sprinkle lime juice, then cayenne, on each melon piece. Wrap ham around melon, securing together with wooden pick. Place on serving platter. Serve immediately.
Chicken Caesar salad
Ingredients (4 serves)
• 1 (about 200g) single chicken breast fillet
• 1 egg
• 50g Weight Watchers rindless bacon rashers, cut crossways into thin strips
• 30cm baguette (French breadstick), diagonally cut into 1cm-thick slices
• 1 baby cos lettuce, leaves separated, washed, dried
• 150ml Caesar salad dressing
Method
1. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes each side or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil. Set aside for 5 minutes to rest. Thinly slice across the grain.
2. Meanwhile, place the egg in a small saucepan of cold water and bring to the boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium and gently boil, uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 7 minutes. Drain and cool under cold running water. Peel and thinly slice.
3. Heat the frying pan over high heat. Add the bacon and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until crisp. Preheat grill on high. Cook the baguette slices under grill for 1 minute each side or until golden.
4. Arrange the chicken, egg, croutons and lettuce on a serving platter. Drizzle with the Caesar salad dressing and sprinkle with bacon. Serve immediately.
Milk rice pudding

Ingredients (6 serves)
• 1.75 litres milk
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 cinnamon stick
• Finely grated rind of 1 lemon
• 3/4 cup (165g) granulated sugar
• 220g short-grain rice, such as arborio
• 400g mixed fresh or frozen berries
Method
1. Place milk, vanilla, cinnamon, lemon rind and sugar in a large saucepan and bring to the boil over medium-high heat, stirring to prevent milk solids from catching on the bottom.
2. Stir in rice, then reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 40-50 minutes or until rice is cooked and thickened slightly. The mixture will still be quite wet at this stage.
3. Remove from heat, cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 3 hours or until chilled. To serve, divide rice pudding among bowls then top with berries.
