This week' I’m going to plan time in my schedule to do my school work, I’m going to read and do week 2 work, and if I need help I’m going to use the schools resources. This month' I’m going to take some lesson at the apple store to learn to use my computer better, I’m going to learn and use the schools resources, I’m going to plan time to study and do my school work, I’m going to stay ahead of my school work (so I don’t fall behind), I’m going to attend class every week. This year' Long-Term Educational Goal Your specific goal: To earn a bachelor degree in business with a concentration in human resources and obtain a meaningful position in the human resources field with five years. Actions you plan to take to achieve your goal. What will you do to support your goal . . . What types of techniques did you use to set your educational goals' I used several techniques when I set my educational goal. First I thought about what I valued in my work life. Having a career the is finically rewarding is important to me, but not the most important. I want I career where I can do what I enjoy and have a positive impact on others. Then I thought about what I enjoy most about my current career and how I could take those aspects of my work and turn them into a full-time career. In my current position I enjoy recruiting, training, developing, mentoring, and providing support to my team and peers, which is why I choose to have a concentration in human resources. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, I thought about what I valued in my personal life. I am a role module for my daughter and how can I expect her to graduate from college, if I never did. I want to show her that education is a priority and that I finish what I start. What kind of techniques will you use to manage your time so that you can achieve your goals' I will you a planner to manage my time in order to achieve my goals. My company put me through the Franklin Covey Focus class a few years ago and I will use the techniques I learn in that class to manage my time. First I will plot all the major commitment in my planner for example: tests, assignments, meetings, etc. Next I will use the weekly compass in my planner to keep myself focused on my most import goals and I will plan time to accomplish them for example: time study, meet with my learning team, complete assignments. Lastly, I’ll check my planner daily to ensure that I’m staying on task, make to do list for myself, and check them off as I complete them. What kind of techniques will you use to manage the stress that you may encounter in achieving your goals' I will use the the techniques of maintaining my physical health and mental health to manage my stress. I will use my planner to help myself maintain a consistent sleeping pattern and to maintain a regular workout routine. My favorite hobby is surfing and that help both my physical and mental health. I surf early in the morning and that helps me to have energy threw out my entire day. I have surrounded myself with supportive people who want to see me succeed and asking for their help will maintain my mental health. Also, I will celebrate my success and reward myself when I do well by having a night out or extra long surf session.
