Want to see my photos' Smile say, “cheese”. People take pictures all the time to remember things that they have experienced. Pictures have been around for decades. Black and white and now color. I know you still have pictures that no one has seen. But how often do we remember to get them developed. Technology has evolved where you can now take pictures on your phone. Having a camera on your phone is great but what to do with the pictures now that are saved to the phone. Well I have fallen in love with an app that can let you upload your photos when you take them; it’s called instagram. Instagram is an app for your phone that allows you to share photos with your friends. It’s a great application to have when you feel like taking a photo and uploading so all of your friends can see your pictures. You can add friends from your Facebook page to come follow you and see your snaps of art work. How do you download this great idea' Well you go onto your phone and go to your app store icon. With my phone which is an android, it’s called the play store in my applications. Once you have entered the app store you click on the minifying icon and search for instagram. Once the search has found the app you click on it and it will ask you to install or close out. Well I know you’re wondering “does this app cost money”' Too your liking no it’s FREE. Yes, I said F R E E. So go on and tap on install. Now that it’s downloaded, the journey towards your instagram fun is about to begin. Go into your applications and find an icon that’s a little brown and tan camera with red, blue, yellow and green stripes at the top. Tap it and now your process in the world of instagram begins. Once it pops up it asks you to register or sign in. Well of course hit register. After hitting that it takes you to a page where you have to create a username and password. Now it might seem hard to come up with the perfect name but it’s not hard. Be unique with it something that describes you. Now that you have the ultimate username the real fun begins. So you’re officially in the instagram family. Start uploading your pictures. You can start scrolling through your photo gallery picking out pictures that you want to upload. You’ve found a picture of you that you look great in so it gets uploaded. You have now seen that you have an orange bubble pop up telling you have notifications. Now this is where the exploring begins. As you’re clicking the tabs below to find this mystery bubble, you tap the star and it says explore. In the explore tab you see it’s a bunch of random photos of different people, things, animals, food, and fashion. You click on a particular photo that catches your attention to get a closer look. As you tapped the photo it brings you to someone you don’t know page. You tapped the photo again to like the photo and it makes the heart at the bottom of the photo red. You have liked your first photo. By going back to the list of random pictures you can scroll down to see what else you like. Nothing has caught your attention so you click the next tab. The tab with a bubble with a heart inside of it is your news tab. The news tab lets you know all of your notifications. You can now see why that orange bubble popped up. It was because you have new followers. Some of your friends from Facebook that has an instagram started following you. As you tap their profile name and it directs you to their page it’s a big blue button that says follow. You tap that button and it turns green which now have said following. Then you start scrolling down looking at his/or her page which has a bunch of photos. You can comment on the pictures and like them as well. You can go back to your notifications and do the same with your other friends. The last tab is your profile. In your profile you can see the total number of people your following and the total number of people following you. It also shows you all the pictures you have uploaded. You can adjust your settings and see pictures you have liked. You can play around and get better at handling instagram. The great thing about instagram is that you can share all your snaps of art with the people that are following you. As you take a picture of a nice car or even something like the colors of the sky as the sun is setting, you can share it right then. You can even share it to other social media sites like Facebook, tumbler, and twitter. That’s of course if you have accounts to those sites. It’s a great way of letting friends see pictures and not having to go to develop them. I use instagram a lot. I post pictures about every day. If I’m not snapping pictures I’m just on there looking at all my followers snap shots. It comes in handy when you bored have nothing else to do especially when you’re in the doctor’s office, dentist office, or even patiently waiting for your wife to get done shopping in a store. It’s funny to see what people are taking pictures of and what they find interesting. I like going to my favorite celebrity page and looking at the fun they are having. Looking at the celebrities pages, it looks as if there like is always fun and funny. On Thursdays they have this topic called “throw back Thursdays”. This means you find old pictures of you or a follower and post it. You can even tag the person so they can see the complete silliness. I like when celebrities participate because their childhood pictures are the cutest and funniest. I can admit I have participated in that and have posted pictures of family and friends when they were the most innocent. It’s nice to see what they have said and imagine their reaction. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t get on. I can check it and ten minutes later I get back on to see if anyone posted a new picture. My main reason for posting pictures is because I have family far away. They love when I post pictures of the cute moments and funny moments of my growing princess. I also like to see what my family all over has been doing and the fun times they are having. It’s always nice to see your cousin graduating or a newborn niece. You can’t be everywhere at one time. So the next time you hit your toe and make that face like you’re making a dinosaur sound snap it and upload. You will see your entire friend’s funny and happiest moments too. Start taking pictures now or upload the ones you have in your phone. It’s the greatest app ever.
