For those who couldn't make it last Saturday. Here are some points from pastor Mike's message. It was deep stuff guys. Lets hear how the message impacted you.... Wisdom in Finances- Pastor Mike Tapera 1 Cor 10 v 6 "Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did." 1 Cor 10 v 11 "These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come." All things are possible as long as they follow the examples set by God. Check for an example in the bible to check if what you are praying for is possible. After giving our offering there are conditions for the harvest we want to come. God does not break his principles. Wealth and riches do not come from sudden miracles. When you are working hard he doesn't intervene, He multiplies what you are earning as you work. Manna from heaven comes when you are in the desert. Once you cross into the promised land, the manna ceases. Some gifts cripple you, something given as a gift will not he recorded as yours. You can't pass on a gift as an inheritance to your children. If you keep praying to just receive you will remain poor. Pray for God to enlarge your workload. To increase your ability to create wealth by working for it. Go to the ant you sluggard. Are you a sluggard' Learn to wake up and work. It is within the ants DNA to wake up and work. Learn the discipline of working without supervision. There is a difference between working and being employed. You can work without having an employer. God never called anyone that was sitting and waiting. They were all doing something. If you are waiting for you calling, get busy and do something. Romans 5 v 3-5 " Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;perseverance, character; and character, hope.And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." Learn to learn from great people. Don't look for material blessing, learn to tap into the wisdom they have. Serve great people for free. Favour is preceded by preparation. Learn to have people who will pray and fast with you. Grace and favor work with people who are prepared. The foundation of financial security is making the right choices. You see people who are truly prosperous when they are 50. Exciting careers don't always pay you enough to be successful and secure in you 40s and 50s. All of us can look the same in our 20s, the changes start to be seen in your 40s. If you want to see a successful person, ask them where their children go to school. Never choose a career that you are average at. Choose the one that God has given you outstanding qualities for. Don't look for a fun job, add fun to your job. • Never use credit to support your lifestyle. • Stop upgrading your lifestyle with every salary increment or bonus • Stop assets that cost you money to maintain, invest in things that make you more money. • Stop buying things to impress friends, colleagues and even strangers • Don't live to impress your neighbors, live to meet your objectives Chief Tari -- 'Faith never knows where it is being led, but it knows and loves the One who is leading.'
