There was a girl who was born with illness which she inherited from her father. She seems to be normal teenager. She is helping her family, having fun with her friends and studying. Actually, she does well in her school. She is a scholar since she was in high school. She builds friendships to those people who accept her whole personality. She loves her family so much. One of her dream is to treat her family in a fine restaurant where they can eat whatever food they want and bond with each other while eating. Her dream seems to be very simple because it is a typical scenario for other families who are financially stable. Her family is just similar to the thousand families living here in the Philippines, poor and unstable. But, she still dreams big. She has the strong vision that she will succeed in life. In totality, she lives normally the only difference is that she suffers extra pain caused by her illness. She tends to experience severe abdominal pain. Whenever she’s around many people and her illness attacks her she still wears smile and acts as if there’s nothing wrong. But there are times that the pain is so strong. She manifests unusual actions that her friends notice and that will be the time that she will tell that she is in pain. She acts that way not because she is shy, but she doesn’t want to make her friends be bothered. She is very lucky because she is surrounded with good friends who are always there to help her whenever she is in need. She treasures her friends so much. She wouldn’t forget all the memories they’ve shared. All the cute, stupid, funny, happy, nice and unforgettable things they do together. At present, the girl is a fourth year student, taking 5-year engineering course. She feels like her dreams are very near to happen. However, there’s something happen which she thinks is very untimely. Her health is getting worst that she needs to undergo operation urgently. According to the doctor’s findings her spleen increases in size and might breakdown, her illness is called Hereditary Spherocytosis, commonly known as Hemolytic Anemia. This illness causes her spleen to malfunction; it destroys the red blood cells and produces a toxin to her blood. She is really upset the moment she learned all of these things. She cries hard every time she prays at night. She is scared that she might stop studying. She is bothered in the money they should spend for her operation. She is confused. But just like what Charlie Chaplin said “nothing is permanent, even our troubles”. Her situation now is getting lighter. She was blessed by our Mighty God with an overflowing Love and inevitable faith. She sees to it that everything will be organized in her school, in the preparation for her operation and the money. She accomplishes a lot of things with the help of her family, friends and classmates and most of all Our Almighty God. For those people who know this girl, she is asking for your prayers. She is getting all her inspiration from all the people around her. She is striving hard to look at the best and positive side of the situation. She knows that no matter what she is going through, if she will have strong faith in Our Almighty God and keep her right attitude she knows that everything’s going be fine. I will write another note if that girl had successfully beaten her health problem. ^.^
