Part I Who am I' My color is gold. Everything runs a certain way for a good reason. I strongly believe in systems, procedures, rules and standards. “If at isn’t broke don’t fix it”. I am also an owl, a wise bird that likes to resolve conflict. I like to confront all conflicts and lay everything on the table. I also have a BOLD communication style. I am very direct and like to get to the point. I am independent, free and practical. This is who I am. My color is gold with green as a close second. Be gold I am careful, cautious, through, and accurate in all I do. Structure, order and discipline are not strangers in my life. I am very organized and neat. I arrive at my appointments early and come very prepared. I make list and check them off as I finish them. I know what I want in life and set goals to accomplish what I want. I also believe in an education to secure a job for the future, I save my money and take good care of my possessions. I have a need to be useful and want to be self-sufficient. I value order and organization and I measure worth by completion. Work always comes before play. Some words that describe the gold in me would be reliable, responsible, consistent, organized, stable, cooperative, sensible, structured, solid, and conservative. I always have a plan in place before I start a project and try to follow it to the letter. I strive to pull my own weight and lend a hand in everything I do. I am always counted on to finish my task and I never procrastinate. If someone needs something done they always ask me because I am always the responsible one. When I veer away from my gold personality I sometimes let the green come out in me. More than anything I what knowledge, every time I hear something I don’t know about I always look up information about it. I took apart my radio when I was a kid and accumulated information and technical proficiency. I really enjoy an intriguing discussion, but please don’t bore me with stating the obvious or becoming emotional. I am rarely satisfied with the status quo and there is always something more to learn. I am gold with green mixed in. I have developed my personality over my life time and I think that is what makes me stand out from the rest. I think I have this personality type because of my role models. I strive to be the best at what I do and will not let anything come in between. I am who I am because of my beliefs and the people that surround me. Let’s face it I love being gold and green. The owl is a wise bird that neither dominates nor clings. The best way for me to handle conflict is to resolve conflicts. Conflict is essentially a collision or disagreement between persons. The way I solve it is by remaining calm and let the storm run its course. Arguing is ineffective because it raises barriers. I always let the other person talk first to get their side. I will genuinely consider the other persons point of view. I put myself in their shoes and I never say “you’re wrong”. Conflict can be good or bad but without it nothing would ever get better. If a situation becomes abusive I am quick to put a stop to it but I also never back down. The owl knows relationships don not thrive unless both people feel satisfied. I always confront all issues right away and lay it all out on the table. I have a close second to the fox (compromising conflict) and the lion (pushing conflict) personalities. I do not like to take NO for an answer and will win at all cost, this is the Lion personality coming out. I will also use any tactics to win but often lose friendships. Lions are proud and successful. Once in a while some fox will come out. The fox finds middle ground. This is when both parties gain something and everyone is happy. Foxes compromise and find peace. My conflict personality is spot on and I love to embrace my inner owl. The resolving conflict type I have developed has been with me since I was younger. I developed this because of experience. I have found that this style suit who I am and what I believe in. I am proud to be an owl. My communication style is BOLD. I am very direct and am a bottom line kind of guy. Let’s get to the point is something I say a lot. I am sometimes blunt and always tell the truth unless it can affect me. I am always accused of not listening because I am usually thinking while someone is talking. I am bold with no other type of communication style even being close. I am very combative and always look for a good challenge. I always have a need to be free, practical, independent, and domineering. I really look for the big picture, which is all I need to start something. Being bold sometimes makes me look bad because I am blunt, but if someone needs an honest option they look to me. This is also another reason why I am gold. People come to me because they what my honest option but they also some to me because I am counted on. Being gold and bold is one in the same. I think communication is important with every aspect of your daily lives. I am trying to not be too bold but that is what works best for me. All of my personality traits put together makes me who I am. I am gold and green owl with a bold communication style. When you look at these three traits side by side they a make a lot of sense. I think I am who I am because of my experience, they people I am surrounded by, my education and my beliefs. I love being a gold and green owl with a bold communication style. Part II My S.W.O.T Analysis A. Strengths * I am reliable, responsible, consistent and organized. * I am knowledgeable in a variety of subjects. * People can count on me. * I have a lot of tech. skills. * I can adapt in most any situation. * Being gold with some green. B. Weaknesses * I do not have very much empathy. * I am very blunt causing people to shy away from me. * I do not show very much emotion. * I am sometime a sore loser. * I get nervous when presenting ideas to people and this fear of public speaking often takes the passion out of my presentations. C. Opportunities * I will have a degree soon so my job availability just grew tremendously. * I have a great network of people to help me further my career. * I am very optimistic so the possibilities are endless. * Willing to do anything it takes to win insuring me a spot for success. D. Threats * A blue personality type. * Someone who is very disorganized. * Someone who is smarter than me. * Someone who resolves with a soothing conflict. * Someone with a sympathetic or expressive personality type.
