DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE During our course of studying the lives of successful people, we discovered that one thing is peculiar to them. They take time to discover why they are existing. Purpose is the reason why you are here. Every one of us on this earth has a reason for existing. Until purpose is discovered life has no meaning. Peter Drucker said, “everybody is good but good for what'”. Lets trace it down to the time of God’s creation. Our God is a purposeful God. Everything he created, he created for a reason. Checkout all of God’s creature, all exists for a reason unless the one you cannot comprehend its reason for existence. Before God created anything, he already knows that there is need for that thing and that is why he created that thing. According to Tom Peterson, “what we are and how we are predetermined by why we are”. In fact, the real life starts when we discover our purpose of existence. Even in production, before a commodity is designed and produced, the purpose or the intended use has to be predetermined. Nobody ever designs and produces a commodity before determining it use. Likewise what God did in creation, he created each and every one of us in a certain unique way with some special traits and qualities to perform some specific functions in some special and unique ways.

This justifies the reason why some area artistes or musicians that is good in one area but when asked to perform any other type of music, they find it very difficult and atimes impossible to do that. This is reason why someone that is good in one area of sports cannot also perform the same way in another area of sports. According to Tom Peterson, “we are all shaped in certain ways emotionally, psychologically, intellectually, physically, environmentally, historically, relationally, and above all spiritual to fulfill certain role, do certain jobs and produces certain results”. No matter how good you, there are places where you can never fit in. No matter how bad you are there are places where your bad nature will be really needed and appreciated. I know a blind man that sings. The thing that astonished me was that his voice was so unique and good that whenever he sings people fell like listing to him all day. He was a member of choir, where he was the only blind, but any day he fail to attend their meeting, it will not be too to know that he is not there. He has a unique way of singing that no one in the choir has. Whenever he sings people that are for way but hears his voice will know that he is blind, he still discovered something he is good at. Most of the physically challenged people around has lost confidence on themselves and believed that they cannot do anything better than begging. They believed that they cannot make out anything good from themselves. That they have absolutely nothing to offer to the society therefore, they resort to begging. Until you begin to see something good from your nature, the way were created, you cannot be anything good. If you believe that you cannot offer anything for nature you cannot offer anything for it indeed. There are a lot of people that have one fault or the other or challenged physically or otherwise that have discovered their place. This is where they offer something positively that the nature needs. They are really valued more anything in those places because of the unique things they do. I discovered that people that do not succeed are ones that do not discover their place. Ones that spent their life time blaming himself/herself on why he is not like this or like that. No matter the way you are, you are born to fit in one place or the other. There is place that nature reserves for you, that nobody, except with your qualities can fit in properly.

Sydney smith said, “Be what nature intended you for and you will succeed; be anything else and you will be ten thousand times worse than nothing. This explains the reason why some people that out of envy joins a particular time because the people there are doing well, are making good money and fame never go far. Many people jumped in the music industry because they think that the people there are making so much money. They never bother task themselves this question. Am I meant to be here' This also account for the reason why so many get frustrated with their jobs. yes, that is true, so many battle with their job because they didn’t take time to discover their place or because they jumped into the field because they think there is milk and honey in the area many end up being unsuccessful or unaccomplished because they didn’t fit in the place they are supposed to be successful people are ones that discover their place while unsuccessful people are ones that spend their entire life time struggling for a place in an area nature did not intend for them. They meant to be. The best way to make the best out of life and be unique, best and accepted is to be you. Be like no one else but yourself. People that take their time to discover their place, enjoy whatever they are doing. They see work as play. They never struggle with what they do because they were to born to do it. They have all it takes to be the best and outshine anybody in that field. Our strength, satisfaction, fulfillment, motivation, passion, enthusiasm, peace of mind and success all lay within our purpose. You will discover that they are people that took their time to discover their place and followed it. Some of them are challenged by some certain factors like criticisms from their parents, friends and relations but they overcome them. TOWARDS DISCOVERING YOUR PURPOSE WHAT YOU REALLY LOVE: What one really loves is a strong indication of what one should be doing. Doing what one loves really makes work fun and enjoyable. It creates the sustaining energy and power one needs when passing through rigorous activities in the work. It is really unfortunate that these days parents force their children to study a particular course in the higher school because they think that money in the field are doing well financial and otherwise. The do not bother to ask their children whether they love that discipline. this justifies the fact that many people who were forced to engage in a particular discipline, do not perform well or rather go stress, obstacles and trivialities involved in the profession because they do not have love for it. Successful people are ones that do what they love. doing what one loves will enable the individual to face the challenges involved in the work squarely while taking it as fun because he derives pleasure from doing it. People that achieve remarkable success in their jobs are one that do what they love. Dapo Daniel Ovebanjo a Nigerian singer-songwriter and harmonica player.
