Dear Diary, I hate this! Why does MY husband have to be so unfaithful' How is it that the goddess of marriage is subject to be the wife of an unfaithful king' Being with Zeus is a contradiction of my existence. EVERY DAY he subjects me to his infidelity. ”Oh darling, I’m going for a walk.” he tells me. A walk' Does he honestly believe that I think he strolls about dreaming lovingly of me' Of course not. Oh but I am sure he walks; he walks the paths of seduction! Diary, I am so full of rage that I could smash my fist against the ground. Perhaps I will do such that and conceive another child considering Zeus will no longer give me the attention that I as his faithful wife deserves! Ugh! Enough of this! I am off to track some of these home wrecking women down to turn them into livestock! Until I return, Hera 1/19/2010 Dear Diary Since I did not give my first entry the pleasure, perhaps I should formally introduce myself. I am Hera, Queen of the Olympian deities, daughter of Cronus and Rhea, wife of Zeus, and goddess of marriage and birth. I am the sole entity that controls the happiness and the failures of marriage. Is it not ironic that I myself have an unhappy marriage' Unlike previous entry, I am now much calmer. Zeus cannot control my rage so he subjects me to being anchored on Mt. Olympus for weeks at a time. Unfortunately for me, my meddling with his seductresses has landed me on house arrest. Being here is not so bad, I get a chance to cool off, relax and reflect. But who knows how long I will be here' So here I sit, twiddling my thumbs and listening to foolish mortal prayers. If only I could answer my own prayers and have Zeus be faithful and loving to me and only me. Oh well…a goddess can dream right' Until we meet again, Hera 1/20/2010 Dear Diary Well since I wrote my previous entry, Zeus was “lenient” and unanchored me from my prison. I will not lie, I was extremely thankful considering I was terribly bored. I figured today I would tag along with Aphrodite and maybe pick up some tips on how to spice things up for Zeus and I but unfortunately for me, all she was interested in was learning about what ways I was punishing all of the beautiful seductresses that she has bestowed her beauty onto. She was not happy with my doings but it is no matter. Even though Zeus may be a lousy husband, I am still the Queen and everyone else will have to deal with my meddling. I will have to cut my entry short tonight Diary, for I will be restoring my virginity by bathing in the well of Canathus. It is a yearly tradition for me, and perhaps it will signify a new beginning for me and my relationship. Until I return, Hera 1/22/2010 Dear Diary, My virginity is restored and I feel like a new woman! Not only is my virginity anew, but my spirit has been cleansed as well! I have decided to take every necessary step to make Zeus content with me. Perhaps he will always be unfaithful, but I will be damned if he doesn’t prefer me over them! Last night Zeus and I spent some quality time together, which was surprising and rare, but I expected it since I had just returned from the well. I surprisingly did not give into his desires and it seemed to me that he has been pursuing me more today! Maybe this is the key' Who knows. I love when he is like this though, he can be so sweet sometimes. Oh! He even delivered 10,000 roses to me this afternoon! Oh how I am playing into his little game, but I love it!
