The death penalty is one of the cases were people get put to jail for, or they also can get executed for it .There are many cases where jury’s have to punish the criminal so that they would learn their lesson and stop killing or committing crimes. There are a lot of different ways of punishing them and one of them would be the death penalty. Death penalty has been going on for a lot of years. Some people think the idea of death penalty for they say it is right because if they kill they should also be killed . There are others who feel that death penalty is not fair and many innocent people have been killed for something that they did not do. Death penalty is not fair and it deals with a lot of issues. It is a bad punishment and we should be able to come up with another punishment to replace it. There are many cases of death penalty when an innocent suspect is being sentence to death. It isn't fair to the innocent people and to their family to have them executed for something they did not do. If the Courts were to mess up on a person and claim them to be guilty, they cannot fix that once that innocent person is killed. Executing an innocent is just as wrongful as any individual who kills a person out in public. It would also be murder if the jury kills an innocent, so does that mean we should also kill the jury. That is dumb to have everyone just killing each other, and the issue would not get any better, but more killing gets involved. Francois Robespierre, a French revolutionist said, "Human judgments are never so certain as to permit society to kill a human being judged by other human being .Why deprive ourselves of any chance to redeem such errors'" It is not right for us to have humans make judgments about other humans and to decide if they should be killed or not. Alot of times the judges make errors but we can’t allow innocent people to be sentence to death on accident, that is unfair to the innocent and they should also take killing more seriously. John Stuart Mill a philosopher stated that death penalty is wrong to the innocents, and we cannot make up for all the wrongful executions, "If by an error of justice an innocent person is put to death, the mistake can never be corrected; all compensation, all reparation for the wrong is impossible". The judges cannot make mistakes, because if they do then they aren't different from normal people who make mistakes of murdering others. If the court can be excused for their mistakes then the people should be given a chance also. People should not always consider the death penalty as the main trial to solve cases because at many times there are usually not that big of a deal. These cases should be punished with other methods instead of killing because once a person is killed, the jury can't do anything about it. The first reason for bad calls comes from the wrong information that is given by the witnesses. For example, a US Army Sergeant, named Timothy Hennis was convicted of murder and sentenced to death in South Carolina in 1986. One witness said that he saw Timothy Hennis at the site of the murder but the witnessed had mistaken Hennis for someone who looked like him. Some witnesses would lie to make the people put on trial guilty of murder. This usually happens when the actual killer is trying to blame someone else so they could get away with it. In most cases it is hard to tell who the murderer is and this decision is basically on who can tell the best story to the police. Many supporters of the death penalty argue that it will get rid of murders. Dudley Sharp said, “The incapacitation effect saves lives - that is, that by executing murderers you prevent other from murdering, thereby, save innocent life. The evidence of this is conclusive and incontrovertible.” They believed that murderer would think twice before killing because they are scared of death. This is not true. Because murderers usually never think of the consequences before they committed the crime. If all the murderers think of the consequences before they kill, then murder rate should be lower in place that the death penalty exists. There are no evidence to prove that the death penalty is a decreasing crime. All criminals should be penalized for what they did wrong. Murderers are criminal that’s why they deserve to be punished for their crime but not with the death penalty. Innocent people will be killed for something that they didn’t do. The death penalty is not the right thing to do. It is a cruel and unusual punishment. People suffer both emotionally and physically before their execution. We can put the murderers in jail for life instead of just straight up killing them and when they are in jail let them have some freedom to. So basically I think that the death penalty should not be even legal in ant city, state, country, continent, or in any world. It is just wrong for somebody to tell you since you killed this person your going to die that’s a horrible death it’s basically torture because somebody just keeps on reminding you that you are going to die soon and nobody want’s to know when they’re going to die plus another thing is that the people that are usually considered murderers have a big problem going on in their head and they can’t do anything about so they take out all their anger out on somebody that they either know or just a random person that they see walking by. I don’t understand the people that think that the death penalty should be allowed because lets say that you have a relative that is a little crazy and he gets mad at you for no reason and he tries to attack you then he accidentally kills your daughter because you were both arguing. Would you still want a sick family member that accidentally killed you daughter want him to go to jail. So if your one of the people that thinks that the death penalty should be able to be used then maybe you’re the one who has a problem in your head and maybe you’ll go and kill somebody an we’ll see who still wants the death penalty to be allowed I don’t think they’ll want it anymore.
