We have to stand up to the big wigs on Capitol Hill and tell them that we want our money when it is our time to retire! Persuasive Essay Outline 3 I chose to have my paragraphs in the sequence that I do because I feel like it will give my essay a more natural flow and make it easy to read. I will start the essay by stating what I will be writing about and why I believe in it. My first paragraph gives a brief history of social security and where it started and where it is headed. I then go into my supporting details, these details will back up what I stated in my thesis statement and help to persuade the audience to see things the way I see them. My next few paragraphs go on to give examples of what can happen if you do not save for retirement. My next paragraph states what different kinds of plans are available to citizens to help them save for retirement. My final paragraph restates my thesis statement and goes now to drive my message home with an up lifting statement.
