Life is like a show. Forgive the drama, for it was not my intention to relate this to theatre – my passion only has existed on the soccer field. The cast of characters that I have been dealt has shown me many things, ranging from which shoes match my belt to the last, most important, reoccurring lesson. What could really be that important, you ask' Integrity; which by dictionary definition is “adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; or honesty”. If I have known one thing in my life it is who I am and what I believe in. Some may mistake this for stubbornness; others may charge me with a lack of creativity. I knew it was neither, I knew what I wanted to be known for from the adolescent age of six. Mark, the honest one. Call me weak, call me fearful, but never call me a liar. Integrity was the first act of my life. In this was trial and error; and to be honest, it was more error then anything else. I may not have the highest grade point average of my class, but to be honest, that is not what is important to me. What is important is that I have achieved everything I am not by playing the rules, but rather by doing what I know how to do to the best of my ability. So in the end, my life has been a performance. It has not been extravagant or earth-shattering. I know with certainty that I have done something right, however, for when the curtain closes, my audience is full.
